I had got a 5 gallon from a buddy that had set in the attic for a few years and I think he forgot to wash his last batch in it. I used a cup of bleach unperfumed and hot water and in a couple of days it was crystal clear. Just rinse it good.

I had the exact same problem. I had to dump in bucket and then fix manifold that had spilt and it flowed just fine. I actually finished at a higher efficency than expected. I just bottled a few days ago and will let you know when I crack them open. Brandon
