Jucifer IPA and Great Raft’s Southern Drawl Pils. First time ordering a non-IPA in a long time. Need to do it more. Both were at Cochon Butcher - paired with their Cubano. Awesome place.

The first time I had Pliny was ~8-10 years ago in SF. Specifically took the subway to Monk’s Kettle and it was just so different and great. It’s still great, but not that different anymore. If it’s on the tap list I will always have it - and I guess imitation is the best form of flattery - but...

Last day in SD so a Pliny the Elder at Knotty Barrel to end the trip.

To preface this, I’m a massive nerd. But that artwork bothers me because it wants to be chemical looking but is so wrong. Again, massive nerd.

Great minds think a like. I had several and every time I ordered an “Abby”, “Abby Normal” to crickets every time. I thought it was funny.

I love visiting San Diego. Another cool part of Petco Park, they have a wiffle ball park. Don’t see any lawn chair umpires, though.

That seems right. Really good beer

It’s a pretty mild hop. It’s a solid hop for a West Coast, but don’t notice anything spectacular. I really like this brewery.

Back at Mission. DDH Pink Boots WCIPA. Dry hopped with Pink Boots Society hop blend(?). They have a special a pint and a 6-pack to go for $15. I get hosed in Omaha a 4-pack is $15 by itself! Leaving tomorrow, but not until 5 pm so might be able to get one more brewery. Days the Padres aren’t in...

At a conference in SD and have a 5 hour meeting - at least some good beer to get me through.

Back at The Lost Abbey. Wipeout WCIPA. Yes it’s a theme for the week. I spent last summer trying to perfect the WCIPA, now I’ll just drink those that have.
