So Oregon wants to raise the per barrel tax from $2 to $47?

All I know is everyone is being scared into believing that our country is about to go down the drain. They are being backed into a corner and told that we do this or else. Bottom line is this stimulus plan is a bunch of special interest and pet projects that would have otherwise been put by...

So Oregon wants to raise the per barrel tax from $2 to $47?

The problem shouldn't be raising the tax, it should be the fact that its going from two dollars to 47$. That's a pretty steep rise all at once. This isn't just going to be a few cents more for a six pack for Oregonians. These craft breweries are going to lose there competitive angle on the...

    Competition Recipe Etiquette?

A lot of "original" recipes can end up being the same as someone else's. There is only so many ways to make a certain style of beer, it's all in how you brew it that makes it unique and yours. So rock that recipe and make it unique and memorable.

Cleaning Up? (something a bit different)

I let it soak in extremely hot water 3 or 4 times then swish it around. That does the trick most of the time. If that doesn't work I bend a clothes hanger with a soft scratch pad rigged to it and that always does the trick.

To Brew or Not to Brew!?

I just brewed a Red and replaced the munton's yeast with a liquid Irish ale yeast. Not that I'm that seasoned in this art form but I just like liquid yeast better. Just something to think about.

Going To Brew Today- Irish Red

I would use a 004 Irish ale yeast. That's what's in my Irish red in the primary right now. I've also got UK fuggles in there.

    Question about priming sugar?

To solve your prob with the bucket, just buy a spigot for a couple bucks. Primary inyour bucket with spigot, rack to carboy for secondary then back into your bucket for bottling.

Should I aerate my beer to get lower FG?

i searched the forum cant find the answer to this. when i move to a secondary do i aerate the beer again or not. also, i know this is prob stupid but do i aerate before bottling or will the yeast be fine on their own to go after the corn sugar.
