Warwick, PA 18974: i have about 5 cases of (mostly delabeled) bottles sitting at my front door waiting for someone to PM me before they go to recycling!

    Cool Mash Tun idea!

nice! i highly recommend the company too -- i bought an aluminum BK from them a couple of years ago and still love it (although i have moved into a roomier SS 15gal spike kettle). i had an issue with my sightglass deforming from heat after about a year and after 1 email they sent me a few new...

    Consecration kit from MoreBeer

FINALLY doing my kit today (got it un-milled so i could take my time...). I was thinking of, after sparging the consecration wort, tossing in another few lbs of 2-row and doing a second running. Any suggestions as to style and/or recipe? I'm thinking maybe some sort of dubbel with some more...

    My First Berliner Weisse

Whoa -- getting pretty adventurous there, eh? There's something so alluring about sours... sort of brings back a little of the art and alchemy that has since been replaced by the scientific method, no? :)

WTB: Local Glass and/or PET Carboys (Central Bucks, PA)

I've been getting into experimenting with sour beers on-the-side over the last 6 months or so, and the experimentation+aging has led to somewhat of a shortage of secondaries in my basement. If anyone has some extra ones collecting dust, I could use a few more glass or PET (for brett) carboys...

kinda -- the pic was just of a sealed box.

could boiling wort suck the chrome off of my IC?

So... i upgraded to a spike BK a few months back and my old 50'x1/2" ribcage IC wasn't quite as efficient because it was designed for a thinner vessel. so i decided to build a new one and proceeded to buy what i thought was 50' of 3/8" plain old copper tube from ebay for pretty cheap, BUT it...

    Etiquette Question

ah, nice! glad to see he does actual work somewhere (kidding). thanks for the recommend -- i did go to one golf course a couple of months ago, don't recall the name but i remember it had 36 holes and was really nice, and they had some decent beers too. i'll definitely check it out next time --...

    Just discovered ChurchKey in DC...

Fantastic, thanks man! FYI -- ChurchKey put on 20 rather obscure sour beers today, sipping a Brett & I as I write this... Love this place, despite the crowd.

    My DIY Tap Handles

OH -- and right next to the wooden legs at my lowes, they have these little 1-2" "toppers" (for lack of a better term) for < $1 each that look like a natural extension of the legs, that already have screws in them. that's what i used for the tops, looks great as well.

    My DIY Tap Handles

great idea -- inexpensive, quick, relatively easy and they look great to boot. HOWEVER i found (the hard way) that if you have a 3-tap tower you have to knock 1 .75" off of the bottom of the block that you intend to use for your center tap... or else you might end up with some sort of beer...
