New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Having not tried A24, can you repitch this? I am cheap and like to overbuild my starters to harvest yeast. Knowing that A24 is a blend, its seems like it is not a good for the repeatability of a beer.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Brewing an experimental lager warm fermented with 34/70. I was going to DH with 2 oz of Saaz, but now am thinking of whirlpooling them. Thoughts?

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

No cold crashing ability yet on mine. I just did a DDH with 4 oz of pellets. Then dumped. Waited and did 2 oz of Cryo. All in a span of three weeks. Dumped the last DH a day before racking and had no issue. The only thing I can recommend is to wait and have gravity do it’s thing if you can’t...

    Military Might

My wife and I visited her cousin in NC, and her husband was a head mechanic at the base working on Harrier jets. We were lucky enough to get a tour when they were practicing vertical landing/takeoff. I was in awe watching them come in from a few miles out, do the maneuver, and go out to do it...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

So I think I am going to start roasting, albeit Neanderthal and all, but hey you have to start somewhere. I will be using a cast iron dutch oven, propane burner, whisk, and a couple metal bowls for cooling. I am wondering if there is a bean you all would recommend for this style of roasting...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

When y’all are dumping yeast, what is your process? I have a spike conical and when I open the 2” butterfly valve on the bottom I think I am punching a hole in the cone. I am thinking I need to add a reducer to slow the flow or perhaps add a yeast brink.
