Can you plant rhizomes this late (early May) and get anything?

Roaring, I'm in exactly the same boat as you, mostly. I live in Houston and have intended to plant hops for a few years now. Trouble is that we have an annual Kentucky Derby Party, which is always the first Sat. in May and I end up working my butt off to prepare for that every year for...

WTB: Stainless Cask (4.5 Gal Pin)

I'm looking to buy a 4.5 Gallon Stainless Steel Cask for brewing/serving real ale. Any info on where I can find one of these at a decent price is appreciated. The cheapest I've found is at UK Brewing for $185, (UK Brewing - Casks and cask supplies) which is too pricey for my taste.

Would like to use corny kegs with a beer engine

That is a great solution NQ3X! I've been looking into this as well and it is not easy to find supplies for this sort of thing in the US market.

    CHeers from Houston!

Greetings fellow brewers. My name is Joe, I'm 32 and just got back into the sport of home brewing. I actually did my first brew back when I was in high school (Mr. Beer Kit) and during college did a couple more but lost interest when somehow all the beers ended up tasting a little bit like...
