    College Football

Loiusville does look good. I'm a Notre Dame guy. Grew up watching ND highlights on Sunday morning, Army too. Always followed them since then. Don't think they're very good this year. Unless that freshman QB is as good as they say he is.

    Got my Ventmatics...questsion.

I just got a pair of perlicks and am putting them on my kegerator this week end. I have a couple of long tap handles so I hope I'm not going to have an issue with them opening since the tops of the taps rest on the fridge door. My wife tells me the same thing.:ban:

    manifold for cooler

Some people have partially soldered their manifolds. Mine is just dry fit together so I can pull it apart to clean easier. I can only speak from my experience but I've had no problems with it. You would use the same solder for this that you would use on water supply pipes, something that is save...

Does a starter have to use DME?

I'm pretty sure you can use a sugar solution for a starter. Sort of like making a solution for priming. I've never done it mind you but it should work as long as the yeast eat and propagate. I've started taking a little extra from my mashes each time to boil and use as a starter for my next...

Did get 2 beers racked...

    Harpoon IPA

The variety pack of Harpoon brews I tried all tasted the same. There was very little difference between them, all kind of bleeeh.Like someone else said, it was like they were all filtered out or something.

stainless steel braid, hop stoper for the keggle?

I've been using a SS braid and it worked fine the first couple of times then clogged up. I use pellet hops and it got so bad I had to just use my auto syphon to finish. I cleaned it real good before my last brewday and it was better. I was also thinking of moving to a hopstopper.

Site tube and thermometer for keggle

Well looks like I'll call NB today to see what it the kit contains. I just can't tell from the pic and description if the tube itself is inclused or just the fittings. I really want one that is a combo gauge/thermometer since I only want to drill one hole.

Yankee Enginuity IV- Fall Foliage Session 2007

Has a date been decided on yet??? I couldn't do the brew followed by the beer fest followed by the drive home:drunk: I'm too old for that. Who's going to the fest by the way? I'm still trying to talk the old lady into going so she can drive my sorry ass home.

What should I brew? JETS SEASON TICKET HOLDER!

As a fellow Jets fan bobbydigital, screw these heathens :mug: , Do you ever go to the Jetsinsider web site? It's not a bad place, lots of Patsy trolls there but good info on the team. I'm actually excited about this year. Which if past history holds true means we'll suck, but what the hell, it's...

    lager schedule

You'll need a Dyacital rest before you start bringing it down to lagering temps. Depending on the gravity, it could take less time in the primary. I'd give 1-3 days at room temp for the D-rest and then rack to 2ndary and drop it into the 30's for a month.

How many corneys per tap do you have?

2 taps and 8 cornies. Have only had 6 full at one time but I'm also planning on moving to 10 gals batches so I'll probably be picking up some more in the future.
