    Hello from VA

I've been to MyLHBS once or twice. I've never heard of The Flying Barrel though. I'll have to check out brewmasters warehouse and Midwest Supplies.

    First Beer Question

..uhhh ok. Anyway celts. I am by no means an expert but to answer your questions: 1) I suggest you try out a couple more kits and become more familiar with the basic brewing process. If you enjoy brewing (who wouldn't?) and want more control over your brew then slowly move to all grain...

Thanks for all the welcomes! Where do you NOVA folks get most of your supplies and ingredients? What LHBS do you like best, or do you use online retailers mostly?

    Notes from Brew Day #1

Woo Hoo for wort chillers! I made a simple immersion wort chiller after my first batch. It is now indispensable. It's a very simple DIY project, and works like a charm.

Hey buddy. Glad your brew day went well. I'm sorry my wort chiller and I missed it. Don't worry about those minor issues, sounds like you had fun and you'll end up with beer!

    Another JAOM Question

    First batch if JOAM.

Started my first batch of mead about 2 weeks ago. 1 gallon of JAOM. It's bubbling about 1 every 3-4 seconds and it's still very cloudy. But I still have a ways to go yet. Fruit still floating and looking fresh.

    Hello from VA

Hello All. Just joined yesterday. I've already learned a lot so far from the great people here. I've brewed 3 five gallon kits so far in the last two years, nothing spectacular but I want to get better. I also have a 1 gallon batch of mead fermenting right now. I hope to learn a lot more...
