    Using an existing yeast cake?

When a put my next wort on the Yeast Cake from my Nut Brown Ale I guess there's nothing to do about the krausen crust on the inside of the carboy or anything huh? I don't have to worry about any of the left over stuff in there?

    Soot

Another thing that can create longer/orange flames is air speed. Are you burning outside? Is it commonly windy?

    Soot

I was actually having soot problems with my oil furnace for my house, too much air flow was causing a longer flame and resulting in a small amount of soot clogging the nozzle which was then reducing the amount of gas/oil coming thru and creating even more soot.... It could be either, my opinion...

    A nice kit cream ale?

I wonder what would happen if I tossed this Ale/Wort on the WLP002 English Ale yeast cake I just used for my Nut Brown Ale?

I got lazy...will my batch be ok?

Maybe by titling your post "Experiment" instead of "Lazy" would have generated more postive responses... just my thoughts.

    Belgian Golden Strong

I have a Belgian in the secondary and it will be there for a few more months. I heard someone saying on here that it's very possible that by the time I'm ready to bottle the yeast could be tuckered out and I may have to re-pitch yeast. Should I do that a few days before bottling or the day...

    Brewing all 5 gallons?

Thanks for the responses, I realize about the chiller. I had found a nice 9 gal kettle and chiller on www.morebeer.com I was going to buy together.

    Brewing all 5 gallons?

If I go to a bigger pot and can brew all 5 gallons, but the kit says to brew 2 gallons and add top off water in the fermenter, is it going to make a difference, or should I look for kits/recipes that require full brewing? Was that confusing?

    Hello

I was planning on going, but because of my wife and I's anniversary falling on the same weekend she deems 12 years of marriage more important than beer <sigh>

    Belgian B question

Another question about this, I'm aging a Belgian Golden Strong at the moment. It should be ready to bottle around November/December, when pitching new yeast should I use the same type of yeast I used in the wort originally?

    Multiple Brew sessions

My advice on multi-batch days.... find a friend! When I decide to brew 2-3 5 gal batches maybe even bottle another batch I make sure I have a list the day before, a clean open kitchen and a friend to help pass the time with.
