    I have the opposite problem. I am eager to get to the next step so I can drink and obsess over the beer until it is ready to drink. I do tend to take in the moment though when I'm doing a boil or bottling.

    Brewers Beat Watermelon Wheat Beer question

    Has the airlock stopped bubbling? If that's what it is I wouldn't worry. I had a similar problem, though not with the watermelon wheat, everybody told me it was alright. It's still fermenting, it has just slowed down. Give it a couple weeks to let the yeast clean up the byproducts of fermentation.

    I did just take a hydrometer reading and it was about 1.015 so it has gone down a little bit, though it's certainly nowhere near done, it's only been 48+ hours. I think the 1.020 reading was false because I had just added the water to get it to 5 gallons. Maybe next time I will check the OG...
