    Help! Keg beer still flat

The temp is currently set 1 degree celsius with a 0.5 differential. When the beer was coming out flat I checked the temp and was like 6-9 degrees celsius. I thought the beer would be well carbonated at 12 PSI for 5-10 days, was quite wrong. I have 5.5mm, 4 metre (14 feet'ish i think) long beer...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

So I turned down to pour and the keg is carbonated - but far too much. Actually all foam, one problem solved another found. So i have turned the gas off and released excess gas. Will release the excess co2 tomorrow morning then try pour again. Then again after work and see if it improves...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

Sorry very new to this hobby. Wife had a baby and I got stuck at home a lot and decided beer brewing was worth a punt, went straight to kegging and built a keezer. Not great with knowing what information is needed. I brewed a kit, my second kit (the first being the coopers pale ale) tastes very...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

So turn back to 12psi now and leave it till tomorrow or turn down tomorrow before I pour?

    Help! Keg beer still flat

2-3 days to turn down to 12psi or 2-3 days at 30psi before I can turn down and drink? I was trying to carbonate based off the table it didn't really work out, possibly not patient enough and trying to pour a glass at day 6 and day 11 didn't help (I think it needs like 14 days at pouring psi till...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

OK I turned it to 30psi, shook it until it no longer made the carb hissing noise of sucking more from cannister (maybe 6-7 good 15 second shakes) and it is sitting at 30psi in keezer. How long do I leave at 30psi for before turning it down to 12? And when should I pour it to check I'd carbonated...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

It has to be that my keezer isn't getting the beer cold enough. If I had a leak surely the tank would be empty after almost two weeks. I was thinking it could that my beer line is too long but my last keg pour fine put of it. Its 4metres ( I think that's like 14 feet) long

    Help! Keg beer still flat

could I tell that by spraying suds of some kind onto the lid and posts and checking for bubbles. Also, would the gas canister be flat after 11 days if there was a leak?

    Help! Keg beer still flat

It does groan if I turn gas up etc - there is also a lot of co2 sitting on top of beer in the form of a head so its coming through it just hasn't mixed into the beer. I'm wondering whether the keezer isn't getting cold enough, I poured a glass and then used thermometer to check temp and it was...

    Help! Keg beer still flat

Hi all, 11 days ago I kegged my beer and put on the sit and wait plan for carbonation. I put on 12 psi and left for about 6 days and being unable to resist trying the beer poured a little it was flat. I raised the psi up to 30psi for one night to compensate for what I poured and then bumped it...

    Dry hop kit help

Wouldnt the diactyl rest period for 4 days speed up fermentation quite a lot though?

    Dry hop kit help

Thanks for the detailed response! When i say want to start partial mash I understand what that is. I just nena dry hopping is doing something other than mixing malt extract, dextrose and water together. The kit included dry pellets and requested that the kit be brewed for 7 days at 18 degrees...

    Dry hop kit help

Hey everyone, I've purchased a mangrove jack's beer kit (no. 6 pils) which includes 28g of saaz hops to be added at 7 days for 3 days. I've only ever attempted the standard cheap cans from the grocery stores but am making a step up for potential partial mash brewing (learning how to dry hop)...

    Help with kegging

4metres of tubing appears to have done the trick. Cheers for the help everyone.

    Help with kegging

I had already ordered the keg connector and a barbed tap shank from store so emailed to add on 4 meters of their PVC tube. I turned it down from 30psi to 12psi (about 2 hours after i was told to turn it back up to 30psi). I dont have a non return valve but am getting a gas distributor which...

    Help with kegging

My two local options are here: https://www.brewshop.co.nz/kegging/bs-beer-line.html - I assume the small one is 3/16, sorry i'm not very good with the conversion from mm/cms to inches/feet

    Help with kegging

I went out and got two meters of 3/8 (smallest size i could get at hardware store), fingers crossed that is enough. Did seem huge, if too big I will order some smaller tubing at longer lengths.

    Help with kegging

Hey, I'll give that a go. Ill bump up PSI to 30 for another 24 hours (already had 24), and then lower to 12 this time tomorrow. Ive had to order some stuff to add a line to the mix which probably wont be here till Tuesday so can sit at 12 till then. Thanks for the advice *Was cold when i shook...

    Help with kegging

Thanks for the responses. I have turned the psi to 0 and burped keg. Ill get some hose and connect the tap with a meter or two of hosing. I will set PSI back up to 10 when i connect hose and try pour? Thoughts on that strategy?

    Help with kegging

Hi everyone, I just finished my first brew (very proud it tastes good) and have put it in a 19l corny keg. I connected it to c02 and set to 30psi and rolled on ground for 5 minutes, then placed in fridge and left at 30psi for 24 hours. Once the 24 hours was up I lowered the psi to 5, burped the...
