    Should you sanitize your hands?

The last thing that should come in contact with the items that touch your beer/wort should be sanitized. From boiling to fermenter, the only thing I sanitize is the tip of the hose going into the fermenter (and the fermenters themselvers obviously). When I transfer from primary to secondary...

Portable keg cooler for wedding reception

Just kidding bro. I prob wouldn't use a recycle bin or trash can at a wedding but that's just me. I guess you could always dress it up!

Dang that's trashy. Especially for a wedding. Pun intended!

    Ball Lock Connection Issue

Clean your connections, both the male & female parts. You can spray some Star-San to help insertion. [Ok your dirty minds, keep it clean!]

    English Lager?

The flavor of MO is not something that I would find appealing in a lager. Too malty for my tastebuds.

    English Lager?

Marris Otter doesn't belong in a lager if you want my opinion. :)

Portable keg cooler for wedding reception

Not a fan of having long lines sitting outside the tub myself. So I use a tap faucet that hooks directly to the outpost. - carbonate the keg to normal carbonation level, but serve at 2-3 PSI to prevent foaming when using the tapper.

    Corn help

I'm not exactly sure why people want to use feed corn, other than may be the price. I've succesfully made ribbon-winning cream ales with good ol' grits. If you buy a 25-lb bag, it works out to about 50-60 cents per lb.

    I Am NOT a Fan Of Star-San

Watch it, you'll get a gallon of bleach. :D

    I Am NOT a Fan Of Star-San

30+ years of homebrewing. I've never used Star-San. I use bleach or iodophor (for stainless). Occasionally I boil stuff but that's pretty rare. Bleach is cheap - and so am I! :D

Mishaps you are embarrassed to admit...but can here, we're all friends.

One of mine had a more serious repercusion. I was recirculating near-boiling caustic (190F) in my system, and the hose shot out from the kettle, and sprayed my left shin. I was wearing socks, so the heat stayed there until I could get the cold water hose onto it. 3rd degree burn, about the size...

    Hefeweizen help

One of the things I've always found important with hefe's is to drink them fresh. And by fresh, I mean around 10-days grain to glass. My last hefe was delicious. It was (for 10-gallons @1.048): 71% wheat, 29% pilsner, 1# rice hulls, 1oz Hallertauer Hershbrucker 60m, 1oz Hallertauer Hershbrucker...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

Just a little side note here. The homemade PBW (TSP-90 & Oxiclean) works really well. See attached pictures.

    CO2 leak, please help!

You have a washer installed between the tank and regulator, right? Very common oversight.

    Iodophor - 12.5 or 25 ppm?

I would consider a soak with bleach + water, 1 tbsp/gallon. Also make sure that the threads & cap on the fermonster are sanitized too. [I don't use fermonster so not 100% how it closes] MC

Going bulk grain - need some advice

I just use a Sharpie. And when the contents change, a paper towel with a little rubbing alcohol gets rids of it fast. :)

Too fancy for using a sharpie on the lid? :D
