Smudgey, Thanks for the information on yeast harvesting with the GrainFather conical. There doesn't seem to be a lot of posts or videos on the GrainFather conical. Do you think a 2.5 to 3 gallon batch would be high up enough to be in the jacketed range for temperature control.

Is there any update on the Apera PH60?

Any updates on this pH meters longevity? It is priced well and the reviews for the Hach on Amazon are not that great.

I should be able to make the pick-up at 3 pm (park Meadows). I should also be able to stop at the Boulder target to divy up the sacks.

I live in Longmont and would like 2 bags (100 pounds) if I am not too late. I can probably arrange a delivery site for a pallet as well. I would also be open to a bulk grain buy from North Country malt if the Colorado thing does not happen. Todd

I think 0.060 seems pretty thick for the washers. Maybe you should reduce the gap a little bit and see if the 3rd roller engages. After blowing compressed air around mine it works at a gap of 0.045. I think 0.045 is too coarse even though I could not find a completely intact kernel. Good Luck.
