    Headspace for secondary with fruit

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just don't see it fitting in my 3 gallon BB, and if it does, it's going to make a big red sticky mess haha.

    Headspace for secondary with fruit

I've googled and such for an answer to this, but couldn't find the right combination of answers. I'm planning a 2.5 gal blonde that I plan to rack onto strawberries. I had intended to ferment in a 3gal better bottle (I know.. tight headspace) and rack into a second 3gal BB with about 4lbs of...

3 weeks in primary - unexpectedly cloudy

The Honey brown I just bottled was still super cloudy after 3 weeks in primary. I decided to give it another week before bottling. I'm glad I waited. An extra week made all the difference.

    New member just saying thanks.

I joined a few weeks ago before starting my first (partial extract) batch of beer. And learned a lot before I even got started. Things like.. kit instructions are often terrible. Mine suggested 2 - 3 days in Primary then racking to a secondary for 7 to 10 days, and said things like "it 's very...
