    Free beer software?

I use Brewtarget for free. But my next batch I think will try to trial version of Beersmith and give it a go. I would just buy it for $24 also not worth messing around.

Going AG Need Some Guideance with Equipment

I use a coleman 48 qt rect. cooler for my MLT and batch sparge so no HLT. Also made a CPVC manifold following post on HBT and have gotten about 80 to 84% efficiency on the first three runs. Very easy and cleans up nice.

Which method for small batch..mash tun or BIAB?

I was thinking of making a partial (2.5 gallon) AG batch of the Dead Ringer IPA (two heart clone). The question is if I should use my normal all-grain equipment or do a BIAB. My mash tun is a 48 qt coleman cooler with a manifold and I batch sparge. Can I do a 2.5 gallon batch in this or will...

Airlock Activity in Primary for only one day

So I'm brewing an All-Grain Irish red ale (kit from NB) 5 gallon batch, using Wyeast Irish Ale yeast that was a washed sample (used a starter). So I have been thinking that I may want to split my cream ale that I have had in the primary for two weeks now. I was thinking that when I go to bottle I would only do half of the 5 gallon batch and rack the other half onto blueberries and leave it in the secondary for a few weeks. I have...

Hi all. Quick question. I went into the NB in Milwaukee yesterday and for the 1st time got my own all grain kit. I went with their recipe for Irish Red. When I got home I realized I grabbed .75 lbs of Belgian CaraPils and not Belgian Caramel Pils. From the grain description they appear...

Husband wants Mr. Beer for Father's Day, BUT...

I would recommend the Groupon from Midwest Today. Just go to groupon and change city to Milwaukee. For $64 plus $12s/h you get a beginner kit, 1 beer kit and $25 gift card. Quite a deal for a beginner.

    Trying an Irish Red

I'm also looking for an Irish Red recipe. I save some Irish Ale yeast from my Irish blonde Ale kit from NB and decided an Irish Red next. I'm getting setup for starting All Grain and going to have a first go round with a cream Ale recipe kit from NB for the summer and then try to come up...
