    Check out my band

I don’t really know exactly what genre we fit in but we just consider it synth wave/ industrial. It’s not for everyone but that’s ok.

    Which drum machine?

I just had a long message typed and accidentally deleted it so here it is again in short. I love your video! The TR-8s is great! I am not familiar with the scatter function but the drum fill function is useful as long as all of the drums you have loaded are sounds you want in your song. I don’t...

    Which drum machine?

Oh and as for drum machines. I originally went with the Alesis SR-18 which is great but I wanted more so I now have a Roland TR-8s which I love. Also been diving in to synthesizers and it’s my new rabbit hole. I have a Korg minilogue and Arturia MiniBrute 2. I love them both!

    Which drum machine?

Not sure if anyone will see this but I did say I would put a link to my songs on YouTube so here is the latest release.

    Another Mystery Coffee Bean Exchange!

@jimyson I just finished the last of the beans you sent. I like roasting this one by the half pound on P5 and I add 2 minutes to the roast. Thank you again.

Behmor 1600 Plus - Tips, tricks, suggestions & insight

I have been roasting my Honduras beans a half pound at a time on the 1 lb p5 setting until it gets to 300F then I switch to P3 and turn the drum speed to high. I usually stop the roast 30 seconds to 1 minute after 1st crack. It was something I read on sweet Maria’s and it’s been working well for me.

    Another Mystery Coffee Bean Exchange!

Thanks for this. I didn’t know this existed. I have been running the 1 lb program on p5 regardless of weight and then switch to p3 at first crack but I didn’t know they were programs. I thought p1 was a program and the others were power settings like p5 is 100% and p3 is 50% power. I get pretty...

    Another Mystery Coffee Bean Exchange!

I knew it was some sort of South American blend but oh well. I love both of your roasts. What do you roast with and did you take notes on the Ethiopian roast? Thanks again for the beans!

    Another Mystery Coffee Bean Exchange!

@jimyson I have had the blend a few times now and can’t quite figure it out but I will guess that it is Ethiopian blended with either Honduras or Guatemala. Am I close?

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

Having a cup of the single origin. I’m heading to the airport, I don’t usually have coffee at 3 am.....So I get blueberry for sure and there is very low to no acidity. The aroma is very familiar too. I am positive that this is an Ethiopian, final answer.

    Another Mystery Coffee Bean Exchange!

I roasted another batch of the gesha. I did everything the same and first crack took a long time again. This time I went 1 minute over first crack and it changed the flavor quite a bit. The roast flavor is very forward and it overwhelms the floral notes. Still has the tea like mouthfeel . I...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

Well I couldn’t wait until tomorrow. I tried the Gesha in a pour over and it’s really hard to explain. It smells very floral. The flavor is floral and light. It’s similar to tea. I like it a lot. It has no acidity or acrid flavor. The closest thing I can come up with for comparison and it might...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

That was what I thought. I’ve never had a bean take so long to get to first crack. The temp only got up to 256 F though and I would normally expect it to get to 300 by the 10 minute mark. I’ll try it out tomorrow and report back.
