    Boulevard Wheat Clone

Do you think there would be a problem with just using the Magnum hops? I usually brew kits but haven't found a wheat kit that is mellow enough for me (my go to beer is an IPA but I like a mellow wheat) so I don't have any hops on hand....it would be most simple to just buy one variety.

    Whiskey and Coke on Tap

No....gave up on the idea but I certainly think kegged tonic would work.

Nitro - Beers that work and those that don't?

Were the two different enough that you felt like you were drinking different beers? Mike

    Cooler for Fermenting

Not a cooler but with the many sizes of storage totes maybe you could use one of those. Mike

Nitro - Beers that work and those that don't?

"Simply a beer "carbonated" with nitrogen gas instead of carbon dioxide. " No necessarily carbonated with nitrogen....I carb all mine with CO2 and push with beer gas (nitrogen and CO2).

Nitro - Beers that work and those that don't?

I would think just hook and pour, I carb my nitro beers with co2. Mike

Nitro - Beers that work and those that don't?

I have had a nitro tap for about a year and to this point I have only served a dry irish stout on nitro, time to try something new. Are there any styles of beer you would avoid on nitro? Any that work particularly well? I was thinking about spliting an IPA into 2 kegs and putting half on...

    Who has a post-mix system?

I thought about doing something similar but didn't know where to start. How would you do this? Mike

    Who has a post-mix system?

Thinking of setting up a post mix system in my house. Parts seem readily available on the ebay and the net. Sam's has lots of bag in box syrups in as small of a quanity as 1 gallon. The system seems pretty straight forward but wanting to hear from someone who has been there...done that. How...

    Nitro Beer vs Real Ale?

Interesting comment on this video in regards to nitro beers being similar to real ale ("hand pulled british beers"). While not a real ale in the traditional sence or by the rules of CAMRA the nitro beers that I have had do have a similar mouth feel to the cask ales that I have had and...

Fellow homebrewers, meet my new beer engine . . .

Very cool...how about some picture of a pour? Mike

    Has this happened to anyone?

Agreed, I don't change my line length either but to say 2'/psi or to use the referenced chart is not the way to balance a system or trouble shoot a problem with foam. I use 6' at 40 degrees and set my regs to about 10 psi and get a great pour. The wheat beers aren't carbed at style guidlines...

    Has this happened to anyone?

Adjusting the length of beer line is the way you balance a system. Beer temperture and carbonation levels are the factors that we decide and line length is adjusted to balance the system. The link you provided tells you at what pressure you need to carbonate your beer but has nothing to do...

    Has this happened to anyone?

How do you carbonate your beers? What pressure are you serving at? Sounds to me like the beer is continuing to carbonate over the week it sits in the kegerator. Mike

    Hooking gas to out post??

I would be careful doing this. It certainly increases your chance of getting beer into your gas line and possibly into your regulator. Mike

    Filter as Randall

From the first reply: I've left mine in the kegerator for the length of a keg (about 2 months). It usually loses a little flavor, but not too bad.

    Whiskey and Coke on Tap

Interesting thought. So you are thinking that the Jim Beam may settle out and therefore cause issues. Mike

Thanks for the reply, I think I will try it. Where did you get the Sanke dip tube? Mike

    Filter as Randall

Anyone using one of these? http://hopwild.com/2008/01/29/build-your-own-beer-filter-randall/ I found a few older posts about some builds but nothing recent. If anyone has one can you let me know if you like it and any suggestions that you would have for the build. Can you get away...
