I'm curious too, a local brewery makes a coconut porter that is fing amazing! Been looking at this kit.

I brewed mine about one month ago, go ahead and brew it. It needs some time for the flavors to mello out. Porters can be a bit dark for this style, try an amber ale.

Thats about the amounts im adding at 10 minutes to go. Last year was the first year I brewed this, along with other ingredients, and was awesome! I think if I added that much at all 3 intervals it would be too much. Mine is based off an amber ale, yours?

This looks too easy, whats the taste like, good amount of hoppiness? Also, do you add the LME at certain intervals or just beginning and near the end?

I brewed this up three weeks ago, primary one week, secondary one week, due to high temps in fermentation, and one week in bottle. At bottling it was very malty, no citrus, yesterday a ton of citrus, still needs another week or two, but awesome brew!

LME and DME both were amber, I made this last year, the first recipe that I made on my own. I can handle a little less alcohol, but the flavor is my main concern, this beer is freakin delicious. I also have 3 oz hops and some spices.

Hey guys, today I brewed my pumpkin ale, its calls for 6.0 LME and 1lb DME, and steeping around 2lbs grains. I actually got about 6.3 or 6.4 LME and completely forgot my 1lb DME!!! How bad will this hurt me?

What are you going for exactly? Get flaked oats at your lhbs instead.

I have 2,30 minutes west of me, my go to shop is awesome, they carry everything, wine also. The owner is extremely knowledgable, wins every contest around here, and so is his staff. They will crush the grain for you, but everything else is self serve, even the awesome selection of craft beer...

On brew day ill be in some sandals, year round, more than likely some plaid shorts and either a braves jersey or old ratty shirt. Ill have corey smith streaming on pandora, of course a few homebrews in!
