    BIAB question???

I don’t actually add any water. I just turn the heat on and keep recirculating until it’s at the set temp. Then it’s done. It’s anecdotal evidence, but for me I see about a 5%-7% increase in efficiency by bringing the wort up to ~168F. It doesn’t seem like much so I can understand the...

    BIAB question???

The “why” was answered. I do a mash out but only for the reason of wort viscosity. I have the Blichmann Tower Of Power so a Nash Out is as simple as pushing a button a couple times and it takes it from there. I get a little bit better efficiency this way. Now...mind you I have a stainless basket...

    Full set blichmann quick connects

Thanks for the info about the 3-way valves. Definitely a better price. And I totally understand about wanting to sell them as a set. If you end up splitting...keep me in mind. :)

    Full set blichmann quick connects

If you decide to split it up, I’d be interested in at least two of the 1/2” 90s. Zip is 45211 for shipping estimates. Also, if you don’t mind sharing, where did you get those 3-way valves from? Have a website?

Making the jump to 3-gallon from 1-gallon

I brew 2.5gal BIAB batches with 3.75gal in the kettle at the end of the boil. I transfer 3.25gal of fairly clear wort into the fermenters. I do all my Brewing in a 7.5gal Blichmann G2 Boilermaker pot. In this pot I start my boil with 4.75gal. I can generally fit all of my grain and water in...

Spike Brewing CF5 for 2.5g Batches?

I brew only 2.5gal batches and looked into this too. I’ll be interested in what others might say. I love all the features and actually went round and round. But in the end I’ve decided to buy a couple 5gal corny kegs and ferment in those. I currently ferment in the Ss BrewTech mini brew buckets...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

My wife and I just moved into a new house. The basement is where my new brewery is set up. I run two 7.5gal Blichmann G2 Boilermakers with natural gas on two Blichmann burners. I have a Blichmann Tower of Power & RipTide pump that I use for temperature control and recirculation. I do 2.5gal BIAB...

How to brew regularly without having a warehouse of beer on hand?

Not sure if the OP is still reading this or not, but I'll put it up for anyone that's still interested. For me, I started with 10gal batches and then had back surgery. I wanted to brew still, but I couldn't do the heavy lifting I did before. That meant a change in how I brew so I started brewing...

Ok ok I lower the price a bit. Give me 45 dollars and I will part with it. At that price I’ll send it to your door. I don’t think I’ll lower the price anymore.
