    Ginger Ale (kegged)

When I made mine, I didn't peel the Ginger. Just washed it well & scrubbed it with a firm-bristle plastic brush to get the loose skin off. Then into the blender! For the lemons & limes though I used a zester to get the zest off. That went into the blender too along with the lemon and lime...

Tons of fittings: tri-clamp, stainless, valves, keg couplers, temp control, and more

I know this is an old thread. Interested in the Blichmann Quick Connects. Wondering if the 90’s are still available.

Blichmann Top Tier w/ 2 gas control modules - HERMS Brewing system $2500 - or parted out (Houston Texas)

Sorry I was not clear. Not interested in the burners or the actual brewing stand. Just the Tower of Power stand (i.e. the thing the pump is connected to & the flow meter and three-way ball valve). Just interested in that stand w/ the Riptide but w/o the controllers.

Perhaps interested in the TOP stand w/ pump. No controllers though. Price?

10 gallon Breweasy, Sabco fermenters, Kegs, Grain mill, Has to go, Southern Vermont

RiverCityBrewer is a piece of $%@. Definitely don't sell to him. Plus he doesn't need any more equipment. I kid...he's a friend. He's good for it.

Blichmann Tower of Power Gas Controllers w/ temp sensors, igniters, and solenoid valves

We’re you going to sell the tower part without the controllers, but with the flow meter and valves and such attached? Didn’t see a price for that. Let me know. Thanks.

Any experience brewing high gravity beers using all grain method + DME or LME ?

You could also try what’s been termed “Reiterated Mashing.” The idea is you mash and then drain the wort. Then you use that wort from the first mash as the liquid in the second mash. Look it up. They’ve talked about it inBYO and on Brew Strong on the Brewing Network podcast.

Floating Dip Tube In Boil Kettle

Yeah. I didn't notice it much with previous beers that I did this with either...until they get a little age on them. After a month or two, the "trubby" beers just don't seem to hold up as well in my experience. While most of my beers don't last that long, I still want to be brewing the best beer...

Floating Dip Tube In Boil Kettle

There are a number of products out there that are designed to transfer clear beer into your fermenter. There's the Trub Trapper, Hop Blocker, various trub dam & mesh options too. Currently I whirlpool and just let the wort sit for 30+ minutes and transfer slowly into my fermenter. However, I'm...

Pluto Gun Replacement Seal & O-Rings (Rebuild Kit)

I put this here for anyone who's purchased the stainless steel version of the Pluto Gun from MoreBeer or another retailer and wants/needs to replace the seal and/or o-rings. There is (as of yet) no way to purchase a rebuild kit for these. So with the help of another MoreBeer customer we've been...

Fresh, Candied, Powdered and in Syrup, Ginger Pale Ale

Well, to be honest I’d never make it again. But it wasn’t because of the ginger. It was because of the coriander and ginger combination. It just did not work In my opinion. If I were to do it again I would just do the ginger. It was definitely one of the strangest flavored beers I’ve made.

Anyone use any hydraulic lifts/tables for brewing?

Yep! I used on for years as my primary brewing table. Make it easy to raise & lower to proper brewing height. I currently use it as a portable RO Water Cart as I've since setup a permanent brewing space & so don't need things to be mobile. I loved it.

Fresh, Candied, Powdered and in Syrup, Ginger Pale Ale

If you do add hops, I wouldn’t go by weight. I’d go by the number of IBUs you’re looking for. I wouldn’t honestly know where to start. I made a ginger pop that was hop free. Here’s a BYO article that may be of interest to you. https://byo.com/article/hard-root-beer-ginger-beer/

Fresh, Candied, Powdered and in Syrup, Ginger Pale Ale

I brewing Charlie Papazian's "Ginger Dinger" recipe on Monday. Recipe here: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/homebrew-recipe/ginger-dinger-2017-dark-lager/ It uses a 8oz of grated ginger and has it added with 10min left in the boil. This is the "traditional" and perhaps older way to do...
