    Long star San soak

I just had the same issue and when i removed my tubing it had gone from clear to a cloudy pasty white color. Tried the oxyclean for a few hours and it did not remove the cloudy color, the tubing seems clean just an off color do you suppose its safe to use as its from my racking cane.

    Pin lock kegs

3 of these lids are stamped Firestone and have no pressure relief valve, the rest do have the fuse type valve. I haven't decided to leave as pin lock or change to ball lock. I guess it don't really matter as i'm starting with new parts. As far as gaskets (o-rings) go is there actually a...

    Pin lock kegs

Can't get the picture to load but they have a large metal cover that folds over the posts and a place where it can be locked down. Just tamper proof maybe?

    Pin lock kegs

I want to start kegging some of my brews so I started to look for some used kegs. Happened to talk to a guy that used to run a place that closed many years ago. SCORE he told me he has some old pop kegs in storage I could have. I ended up with 7 pin lock kegs and 1 ball lock keg. One keg was...

    RiteBrew

Thumbs up to RiteBrew. I ordered 2 extract kits, a blue moon clone and a spotted cow clone. Fast delivery and better prices than I have found on similar kits. Just wondered if anybody else has ordered from them or found someplace with even better prices for extract kits.

I can order one, I was just being impatient and looking for a quick fix. Ingredients are to expensive not to wait 2 days for a bucket!

    Fermenting bucket questions

Food grade makes sense, never thought of that. Im guessing the ones at WalMart are run of the mill general purpose plastic

    Fermenting bucket questions

This may sound like a stupid question but here goes. Can I use a plastic bucket I can purchase at my local WalMart to ferment in?? Both of my glass carboys are full at the moment and I want to do another brew. Are there some differences between the one ordered from a home brew supply store? I...

    Fermenting Temps

I have a Hefe going right now with Danstar Munich dry yeast and a light ale with coopers dry yeast. Thought the basement floor was a bit cooler but I have had steady temps of about 73 degrees in the carboys. My question is are the temps really high enough to cause any problems. A friend who has...
