Its impossible to a small homebrewer to get 100 %. Even the big brewery dosent achieved this. Maybe you miscalculated something or your final volume is way lower than espected?

I empty all my water from my kettle. Measuring the water need with beersmith im on every time. A friend were leaving 1-2 over til boil volume is achieved and hes efficiency was terrible ( about 60% if i remember) I tol him to try emptying the water and he grants up his efficiency.

I had 1.048 instead 1.052

I did a red and finished with 26 L instead 23 due to evaporation rate. Will it affect the taste?

Well, ill set up a new system with 58L stainless keg brewery, Presently in my cooler mash tun I have a copper manifold, but in the keg the valve wont be at the bottom thats why i wonder which option is the best. For my boil kettle, I want to filter the hops, using pellets and leaf .

I bought old brewery 58L keg to do a kettle and im still not sure which option ill up for!

I put mine at .30 and it give me little better eff. But im conditionning my malt before !
