    California Cancer Warning

There was a federal politician who wanted to force a public referendum any time a petition could get signatures from 3% of the population. Stockwell Day. There was an immediate petition that he be required to change his first name to "Doris".

    California Cancer Warning

There is a saying in Ontario along those lines: "Well, you could do that, you'd be a damn fool if you did, but you could do that."

    California Cancer Warning

Do other states have this silly warning, or just California? Up here in Canada, I see the California one all the time on products, but no other states' warnings for some reason. Maybe other states figure Cali has it covered, lol.

    California Cancer Warning

It boggles the mind and implies everything causes cancer, and that the risk gradient is uniform between "real" carcinogens and things the rest of the world considers to be "food grade". I also ignore the warning now.

    California Cancer Warning

Why does the California cancer warning appear on essentially everything, including drinking water plumbing materials?

    Periods of abstinence

I keep an eye on the bathroom scale. When I pass 230 pounds, I cut out booze for a few months.

What advice would you have for yourself back when you started out?

    - Don't shy away from ancient threads, lol - Don't listen to elitist twits - Brew what you enjoy - Don't be afraid to try all-grain - Kegging is great

Running cold plate lines in series with warm keg?

It's 1/4" FFL on the hose end of the 2 connectors it came with and something unknown on the end that goes into the cold plate. I won't need it for a month or so and I have tracked down the fittings for cheap.

Running cold plate lines in series with warm keg?

I'll put it in a cooler with ice and a bit of water. I'll add the fittings to my next order and will post the results, but it will be a few weeks.

Running cold plate lines in series with warm keg?

I now see cold plate fittings are not NPT, but they are available, at least.

Running cold plate lines in series with warm keg?

I have a 3 line cold plate. They don't work so great with warm kegs (85-95 degrees in shade). I only need one line, and have though about running all the cold plate lines in series to maximize the heat exchange. Anyone have experience with this / thoughts on if it would work on a hot summer day...

    Jockey Box Must Haves

Agreed with above, my experience has been that the Intertap return springs don't work so great with Perlicks that have flow control.

    Grain mill broken...

I've had my BC for over a decade and put approx 2200 pounds of grain thought it. I sometimes have the same problem, and can fix it by stopping the motor and spinning the axle slowly a couple of revolutions in reverse. When this fails (only happened twice) I took it apart to thoroughly clean, and...

    Greetings from Saskatchewan, Canada!

Welcome! They say there are two seasons in Saskatchewan: winter and July. Lol. I lived there many moons ago. Lots of great beer out there.

Weldless fittings - intermittent leaks - fix?

Thx. I was looking at those, and if the other suggestions don't resolve the issues, I may end up going that way.
