or Trade..... Laminar Flow HEPA filter

I hadn't really given any thought to it, until now. New, they are quite expensive. There's only one listing for used filters on ebay for $300. The one I have is in much better condition and has the prefilter & water pressure meter. I dunno... Does $200 sound fair?

or Trade..... Laminar Flow HEPA filter

Wow! That surprised the heck out of me! This is the holy grail of laminar flow HEPA hoods for any yeast rancher setting up a culture booth or cabinet. Not a single bite.... Oh well. I guess this gets bagged, tagged and put in the attic awaiting the time when I can find a place for a culture...

    2-1/2 Gallon Ball-Lock Kegs

The kegs I am keeping were originally used for process solvent or ammonium hydroxide. Decontamination is easy enough and they are much higher quality than corny kegs.

    2-1/2 Gallon Ball-Lock Kegs

Four are marked Idaho Beverages Inc., one is marked Pepsi Bottling, and used for homebrew after that.

    2-1/2 Gallon Ball-Lock Kegs

It's very tough to find them used. Most people that have them only have one or two and are not interested in giving them up. These are some extras that I just am not using. I have 10-10 liter and 2-5 liter Hersteller kegs, (made in Germany; very high quality), that I'm keeping for my use. I...

    Dead Freezer

How about ripping the guts out of a water cooler or small fridge and use that to chill it?

    2-1/2 Gallon Ball-Lock Kegs

2-1/2 Gallon Ball-Lock Kegs. I have 5 of them that I'm selling. $70 each plus actual shipping cost. Anybody interested?

    What should I do next?

Craigslist.... I hear Michael Fox has a used one for sale.

That explains it. Most people wouldn't even know what it does much less who made it.

Reducing RPM's on drill for mill

If it's a good quality drill, just order the parts and repair it.

or Trade..... Laminar Flow HEPA filter

Yup, it's an Envirco. If I had the space to set up a culture cabinet, I would definitely put it to use. I just don't have the space to set one up.

Before the first brew? Have a beer, of course....:mug: Just clean it up good and brew your best....

or Trade..... Laminar Flow HEPA filter

I originally got this with the idea I would set up a yeast culturing cabinet. This is out of a Class 1 cleanroom. (That's no more than one particle, per cubic foot over the size of 1 micron.) I just don't have the room to put a culturing cabinet in. I can always get another one later. It's...

Why limit yourself? Do it all at once....

need help with cleaning inside new keggle

It doesn't really make much difference. Scratches can harbor bacteria and that is the big concern. But you are going to be boiling it and that negates any chance of the bacteria surviving. Scratches in a fermenter are a bigger concern since bacteria can survive that. With stainless steel...

Reducing RPM's on drill for mill

It's not even close to being the same thing. The Variac is an auto-transformer and changes voltage; it could easily let the magic smoke out of the drill. You could probably get away with varying the voltage a little though. The router speed control is a pulser and keeps the same voltage but...

is there such thing as industrial CO2

Generating CO2 is a compression and distillation process and the result is very pure. All common use CO2 is filled from the same valve, "industrial" bottles, as you put it are filled from the same valve as they use for beverage grade bottles. CO2 is also, widely, used for welding processes...

    CO2 Tank

At work, we keep our spare CO2 bottles in an outbuilding without any problems and I keep most of mine in the garage without any issues. The thread about having it in a car during the summer is a whole 'nother issue. Temps inside a car can easily hit 140 degrees during a Texas summer even...

Brunken Dastard's Big Bad Brewery! 10gal eHERMS

Best of luck to ya' then. The US is a young country in relation to the UK. As such, we don't have quite the concept of time. Here, 200 years is a very old and rare building. In the UK, many of the pubs I was in were much older than that. The ceilings in those old pubs were very low. It was...

Brunken Dastard's Big Bad Brewery! 10gal eHERMS

What area would you be near? I lived in the UK for a total of about a year in places around RAF Bentwaters, RAF Woodbridge, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath. And yes, I've been to Sherwood Forrest. The last time I was in the UK was nearly 20 years ago. I always had a wonderful time...
