    Regulators and beer storage temps.

There is a lot of fact in that. Sometimes you can find something that does the job, adequately, for less but overall you get what you pay for. I predominately run stainless steel Smith or Linde regulators for my beer requirements. I bought them used but they are very good regulators.

    Co2 welding cylinders????

I refill my own. I have 3-20lb tanks and 1-20lb tank with a diptube. I have 4-5lb tanks I use in one kegerator & for force carbing and 2-20oz paintball tanks I use in the coolerator. Refilling is easy enough with simple equipment. If your supply tank has a diptube, use it upright. If your...

    buy local or online ?

I buy mostly from Austinhomebrew, they are my LHBS. It's a 30 minute drive to get to them but they are always helpful with whatever I'm doing at the time. I can get my hands on merchandise to make informed decisions about that I really want and can expect from it. As previously stated, if you...

    Upcoming deals at Kegconnection?

I went down to San Marcos on a Saturday, expecting Kegconnection to be open. No, they're not open on Saturdays but the owner was there working on his boat and answered the phone anyway. He invited me to, "Come on by and we'll work something out". He was very helpful, friendly and patient...

Faucet plug? What do you use?

I use the blue foam plugs without any problems. At the end of a day of use: 1. Wipe the faucets out with a faucet brush dipped in sanitizer 2. Dip the foam plugs in sanitizer, wring most of it out and put them in the faucet. 3. Visitors get instructed to remove the plugs prior to...

Used corny kegs black rubber what a mess...

Pressure washer to get rid of the stickers and loose residue. Acetone to get rid of any remaining adhesive. A quick wipe with acetone with remove the top layer of the degrading rubber and leave it in much better shape.

I'm glad it made it there safely. It seemed a little worried as I stuffed the box full of bubble wrap.

    Bolting items to frame

I thought you were talking about standard hexagonal nuts and welding them to the frame. Rivnuts have a serration the grabs the hole as they are installed and crimped in place. I go through a few thousand a year and never have problems with them. People that do have problems with them have...

    Bolting items to frame

Welding hex nuts ruins the tempering and they no longer have any strength, provided they had any to begin with depending on grade. Don't forget to re-tap them as welding usually messes up the threads. Throw in zinc or cadmium plating and/or galvanizing and you run a risk of metal fume fever...

    Bolting items to frame

Mine looks like a big pop-rivet gun too. I have a few others that I use on bigger sizes that operate similar to the home-made one shown earlier. I have used a pneumatic one that works similar to a Jo-Bolt gun but I don't own one. Once installed, it's a good idea to put a drop of oil or dab of...

    Bolting items to frame

If installed correctly, riv-nuts hold up surprisingly well. I've been using them for 20 years with excellent success. Now if you feel it is necessary to over-torque every fastener you install, then you are already used to broken bolts, stripped nuts and rounded heads. You know who you are and...
