Other than covering the top with stainless steel, the rest is kind of boring. A used ~15cuft, white freezer. One day I'll get around to the backlit sign for the brew list and maybe even covering the rest of the freezer in something a bit more attractive, for the time being it gets the job...

I finally got around to building the keezer and putting the draft head to use. It holds eight 5 gallon kegs and two 2-1/2 gal kegs. I topped the lid with stainless steel, bored the holes through the stainless steel and all the way through the lid with a hole saw, and TIG welded the draft head...

I think you are talking about these: NPT to Ball Lock adapters As for small kegs... They do exist. I have three 5liter ball lock tanks and would not give them up without a fight. They are rare. The picture is some of the 10liter and 5 liter tanks I have.
