    Installing heating element

    I mounted both of mine @4.5" from the bottom as measured from the outside of the kegs, it basically boils down to the type of kegs you have so that the gang box is mounted on the flat surface on the outside and allow for the curve inside the kegs. Best of luck.

    Just do a search on HBT for these answers this horse has been beat to death...the bottom line is electric is way cheaper, and just as fast if not faster...I am still building my build but it is the way to go IMHO, I am sure others will chime in as well, good luck, all the best.

    Finished and attached the HERMS coil today after the race... I built it from 3/8" ID soft copper tubing, 20' with two short sections of straight tubing and two 90 elbows, flux and solder together and attached to ss with compression fittings looks good ready to finish the control box and begin...

    I haven't done much on it the last few days been busy with other life stuff LOL. I am not sure how I will use the SWA but figured that the timer aspect could come in handy, I will have to work on figuring that all out once its up and running. Will keep everyone informed. Thanks.

    I measured mine from the inside wall of the keg to the tip of my element is 13 1/2" hope this helps

    I just measured mine 4.5" from ground ( bottom of keg) to center of the hole, also wish it was lower but even with smaller single gang box your options are limited. Hope this helps.
