I like this time at night on HBT

My kegerator ran dry years ago. I can't believe it's YEARS! I'm starting to see some light too. I need to get back to it soon. Let us know what you brew.

Wiring a 240V 22mm LED as Element Indicator (Am I doing it right?)

It needs to be wired in parallel with the element. It sees 240V when your element does.

I've never even considered that. Maybe next time. As long as the installer doesn't care that you didn't get them from him. Glad you're not planning to install them yourself. Motorcycle, ATV and lawn mower tires are where I draw the line.

Happy Father's day! It's my son's 13th birthday today so the family is coming over in a bit for a little party. It is so terrible humid today. First time this year so I guess it feels worse.

Air rises up through grainbed when I start to drain into BK

It sounds like you are sucking a cavity under the false bottom. You may have to dial the pump back a bit when you recirculate. Are you seeing a continuous flow at the exit of the hex?

    Stupid Joke Thread!

Shhhh. My wife's a blond. A blonde was sitting in the train station reading the paper. The headline read, 12 Brazilian soldiers killed in shoot out. She turned to the man next to her and asked, "How many is a brazilian?"

I saw your still. Really cool. I think I'll let her keep buying the essential oils though. I've got other projects...;) I certainly wouldn't have done all I have if it were just a hobby. It's a pretty legit biz for her. She makes a ton of other products besides the soap. It's selling so we're...

Yes that is the curing station. I still have to put a door on it. There is a fan on the top to pull air through and help cure a little quicker. My wife has been making soap and a bunch of other bath products for quite a few years now. She couldn't keep up with sales so I figured it was time I...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Thanks man! I put it together quite a while back with mostly stuff I had laying around the shop. Same concept as something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A7F1B60/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 The upper box has a PID wired to a probe set about grate height through the drum. The PID...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

My son's plate... Definitely a hit. Everyone got real quiet for a while. I had too many thermometers in the pot. I like the inkbird for monitoring but my probes were way off compared to my thermapen. I ended up second guessing my trusty old dial thermometer on the smoker and that mistake...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

This thing is awesome so far. Just put everything on so the smoker ran away a bit. I used to use binoculars so I could read temperatures from the house...I hope the Bluetooth range is far enough.

Looks like it's on a stretched out piece of plastic wrap;) Makin my mouth water. Glad I'll have my own tomorrow.

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

That's a good option. Hope I can find one to fit. I'm not crazy about the lid I have on there being concave and catching rain.

BTW, anyone know if a guy could find a domed lid to fit a drum anywhere. This one is a little larger than the steel drum I had. An old Webber lid fit on that.
