What came in the mail for you today?

Was expecting multiple things in the mail for brewing, but nothing came because the mailman didn't have a chainsaw on the mail truck. I'm sure glad I made a pre Hurricane beer run. :D We're trapped in the neighborhood but have beer so no worries.

She said the first time you use your own yogurt to culture, use more than usual. For example she normally uses about a 1/6th volume of her yogurt (to 5/6 milk) to start a...

    Houston Beer Bottle Manufacturer closing

Thanks, Thats a great idea. Old married guy here, I designed a label and named the beer after my wife (Ann's Amber Ale) to try to get some buy in from her. I figured it couldn't hurt. But after the first batch, I think I'm doing sharpies.

    First Brew Follies

No I didn't blow any air into the wort, I was using the sanitized airstone /hose to aerate the water used to cool and then dilute the wort to volume. Sorry, I didn't state that clearly. I was thinking that it would put some oxygen in there for the yeast. Thanks Hotbeer for responding. Hearing...
