    I had similar problem, I had my temp set at 38-40 degrees becuase that's where I like it I turned temp down to 34 degrees and no more foam problems

    I get my tank refilled at uhaul or a small tool rental shop, ace hardware also fills them based on gallon. It still ends up costing me about $20 to fill an empty tank I also record the weight in my beer journal

    I don't use food coloring and my tandori comes out the same color as first pic. I do use tumeric though, and chili powder, along with most of the spices you listed. I also use garaham masala which I didn't see. It could have been but I am on my blackberry and can't check without erasing post

    I'm having same problem, used same yeast and it has been fermenting for four weeks. I am at 1.031, fermentation had stalled so I agitated it again, but the last time I did that I only went from 1.036 to 1.031 in the course of 1 week. I'm thinking of getting another pack of yeast and adding...

    I have taken my keg place in my 10 gallon igloo mash tun, if u had an extra one you could cut a whole in lid and keep it cold a lot longer

    One yeast vial split between two starters?

    i use 1 wyeast and grow the starter for a few days, then split it into 2 more starters, that way the yeast are active healthy, and not overly stressed. since the volume of wort is small it might not matter but thats how i do it, its easier to measure and split 1000ml than 10ml

    the lbs are also heavy, more so in whole hops than pellets. Its definetly worth it to pick up a couple extra lbs though than to just buy 1
