    FedEx opened package!

Never shipped home brew but I was caught off guard when shipping a vibrator! The clerk asked what was in the parcel. This has never happened to me and I was TOTALLY unprepared. I went with 'Um, toy?' Lmao Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew Sent from my iPod touch using Home Brew

    Used bottle feasibility

I work in a pub and just bring the bottles I like home, and run them through the dishwasher. I'll give them a quick swirl round with boiling water before I bottle. When I first became a barmaid, lots of the bottles were sent back and reused by breweries, so I think filling them with home brew is...

    Legal Moonshines on the market??

There are a couple of white scotch whiskies sneaking on to the market as well! I was toying with trying, because I don't like traditional Scotch! (Horrors, I know) I have tasted a home made spirit which is made in Portugal, and it was like a very strong but very clean whisky. I think white...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

I work in a social club. My supervisor has been off for a month, with a broken front tooth. 1. Does she think the damn thing is going to grow back? Why isn't it fixed by now? 2. If she's too damn self conscious to come to work, why the hell can she come in to drink/socialise? But, not making too...

    Demerara sugar

The husband's answer to 'golden' sugar was to come back from the shop with some light Demerara! Has anyone used this is cider before? What are the results? I'm probably going to use one cup per gallon. I also am considering using it later, when bottling, for carbonation. Any thoughts? :-)...

Port: does anyone here make it?

I'm in the uk, but that probably doesn't things any easier! However, my dad stays in Portugal a lot of the time, and we know people who make the local home brewed spirit, I'm just not sure about the legality of getting it into the uk. In Portugal, they can make it at home, but not sell it...

35 year old Demi John of wine

I don't even have any idea what kind it is! It's a white, but it has quite a strong colour. It might be gooseberry, we did have gooseberry bushes in the garden! Sent from my iPod touch using Home Brew

35 year old Demi John of wine

Hi there, In my shed there is a one gallon Demi John of wine that has been in there for about 35 years, a leftover from when my mother gave up wine making. It's clear as a bell and there's not much sediment. Do I drink it or chuck it? Sent from my iPod touch using Home Brew

    A total beginner (almost)

My husband likes dry cider, I like it sweeter, but I'll work on variations once I've got the basics! Neither of us are beer or wine drinkers, so cider is pretty much where it's at. :-) Also, it's true that with one gallon batches, I'll not be crying too much if I have to chalk a couple up to...
