Season premiere tonight! The previews they've been running look good.

    Pipe smoking, a lost art.

Never thought about it that way but you're totally right. The amount of care, love, energy etc that goes into people's hobbies is amazing and the only thing more amazing is that no matter how obscure or specific someone's obsession is there is always someone else who is just as into it.

Went back to my Kaywoodie and it's gurgling to hell. This berry cobbler tobacco sure smells nice though!

Yeah this one is much bigger than I expected. It smoked for over 1.5 hours where all my others were 45 min tops. Would be tough to hold in my teeth for longer than a few minutes but I tend to hold my pipe in my hand the whole time so I didn't have any issues last night.

QFT. I will say my Boswell smoked much better than any other "first smoke" with my other pipes. No gurgle, never got hot, smooth. Is that placebo? Maybe. But I liked it.

    Skipping the Ice Bath

Many people here have posted how they simply put the lid on their fermentor overnight and pitch in the morning as "slow chill" vs all of the air evacuating, special container etc involved in "no chill" and storing the cooled wort for a few months. That being said, I do very much recommend...

    Pipe smoking, a lost art.

I can assure you I can't tell the difference, but since I stumbled on their site a year ago something kept drawing me back to admire them. Probably the handmade/ made in America stuff and their unique rustic appearance. Finally decided to just bite the bullet because it was clear to me I wanted...

    Pipe smoking, a lost art.

I'll post a better pic later where you can see the stamping. It's pretty cool :). This is my first "expensive" pipe.. I probably won't be able to tell the difference at all but I'm excited to have it.

This one was 130. Includes everything except two of the ounces of tobacco in the pic. Great price in my opinion for a pipe completely hand carved (looks sand blasted but actually chip carved) , and they get great reviews. Everything I read online was extremely positive about them, and lots of...

How long do campden tablets take to remove chloramine?

Crush the tablet, put it in your bucket, and it'll be gone by the time your water is at mash/steep temperatures.

Tell that to all the slow chill/no chill brewers out there.

Long vent thread (disclaimer: women problems)

She isn't "just being". Even if that's her intent, and he isn't there, and nothing is going on. Ask yourself how comfortable, grounded, and in a state of "just being" you could feel while in the home of an ex-serious girlfriend.

    Homebrewtalk.com "personalities"

This thread is awesome. Yooper looks exactly like what I pictured once I figured out she was a girl :) Agree with everything about MalFet. I always picture him sighing before he closes his tome and drops some knowledge on a debate forum posts. ABG looks nothing at all what I pictured...

    Pipe smoking, a lost art.

Woah a combination of the best/strongest tobacco I've ever smoked and a much larger bowl than I'm used to and I'm buzzing pretty hard. I think this pipe is a winner.

Yeah great to communicate with and I love that the order receipt/packing slip was hand written. Smoking the pipe as we speak.
