White powder residue from isopropyl alcohol

Dually noted. I just want to get this powder out and not use isopropyl alcohol again. I thought maybe it would dry the water in the tube and hoses faster but I did more harm then good. Racking canes and bottling wands aren't expensive but dangit these aren't broken, just reacted to the...

White powder residue from isopropyl alcohol

I've been seeing alot about PBW so maybe ill give it a whirl. Biggest problem is id like to get something I can pull through to get a little scrubbing effect. I see people use beaded chain like on a ceiling fan and I like that idea! I'll give pbw a go. Last dumb question is what does pbw stand...

White powder residue from isopropyl alcohol

I just bottled some beer and I always have trouble cleaning my hoses and racking cane. I got the bright idea to soak isopropyl alcohol in them and it was fine for the vinyl tubing but my bottling wand and racking cane have a thick white power caked on them. Obviously a chemical reaction but how...

This rye brew with my old man was the first ive ever used kviek and I didnt know about that high end range and it blew my mind! He wanted it done in a week cause he was going to Alaska. It got done with all his fresh grown hops but I think there was many steps along the way we messed up. Or I...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Nothing i can admit to. I used a kolsch yeast and some east kent goldings and the beer smelled like a port a potty. It tasted soooo sweet but no caramel malt was used and it finished fairly dry. Not good enough

Need advise on a 50/50 rye malt and wheat malt ipa?

Sorry I keep posting in the wrong spot. I didnt sparge. It was a full 8 gallons of water that I mashed Into and rested at 150. I just stirred and dunked the bag for what seemed like forever. I rolled the bag around a broom handle and hoisted it out and used 2 chairs to hold it above the kettle...
