    Make IPA Clear Again

Bjcp guidelines should prohibit wheat, oats, and lactose from the IPA category and NEIPAs should be their own category

    Make IPA Clear Again

I'm starting to see more commercial examples of traditional IPAs by me again. (NJ) Rejoice!

OR should I put a T on the pump and two separate ball valves to individually control flow?

    Spike Solo Owner's Thread

I wanted to put the 3 way on my riptide. I have mine oriented vertically where inlet is into the bottom and outflow is on top. I use ball lock QDs and figures I'd put the valve directly onto the pump out and then male ball lock fittings on the valve. That'd be fine too, right?

    Spike Solo Owner's Thread

If anyone with a solo+ is using a 3 way valve to split the outflow between recirculation and whirlpool I'd love to see it. This is what intend to do but I can't even figure out what 3 way valve I need. I already have a riptide and plan to use it. It's an npt riptide so I THINK I need an L type 3...

Are you guys pressing the basket? I squeezed the bag sometimes and didn't others brewing biab. I plan to press the basket for sure. Also on the grains in the bk issue has anyone ever done a 10 minute vorlauf with a tc inline filter? I already own one that I use when kegging but figured it could...

    Anyone use ultraflo max?

It's an enzyme that is said to eliminate stuck sparges and increase efficiency and clarity. Bold claims for sure. It seems to be targeted towards commercial breweries, but I was wondering if any homebrewers have used it and if it's worth a damn. On FB, the all-knowing algorithm has targeted me...

What I did for beer today

Won't one strain just eventually win out in a fermentation? I've always read if you want to mix strains you ferment separately and blend the beers.

What beer did for me today...

Turned my spare tank and regulator into my CFC water evacuation unit, lol I've found no matter how I tilt the CFC some water remains and it has me wondering how much mold can/does grow in there. It doesn't leave "plate chiller" worried, but I thought it'd be good to get any excess water out...

What I did for beer today

I woke up and checked the gravity of my fermenting beer from my bed via my tilt. I then upped the temp with a wifi inkbird. It's amazing how cheap this **** has gotten! I did later go downstairs and put the spunding valve on.

How much whole coffee bean in a coffee/vanilla porter?

That's what HBT is for, right?

How much whole coffee bean in a coffee/vanilla porter?

I don't bottle and I did use both a tincture and whole vanilla beans for the vanilla. I'm not worried at all about infection after fermentation is complete

Best hops for dry hopping clear American IPAs

The hops don't matter as much as a grainbill with no wheat, oats, or lactose in the boil. Do a real bittering addition, use a chico strain of yeast, and cold crash to death after dry hop. NEIPAs are played out to death and I'm ready for the rest of the country to catch up with me!
