Starting over... What would you do?

I started 5, went to 10, and then came back to 5. I, for the life of me, don't understand how guys go through THAT much beer.

FINALLY ordered an RO setup! What should I know?

What values do you put in for RO water? All zeroes?

    Spike Solo Owner's Thread

Brewed yesterday and loved the solo. Of course, I totally screwed up right from the start of brewing. Up until 3 batches ago I've just had my lhbs mill my grains and then I come directly home and dump em into my waiting prepped/heated mash water. Been doing this for 8 years now. So, naturally I...

Spunding valve which is best ?

I can't say which is best, but I use a blichmann tri clamp spunding valve on my flex+ and love it. No complaints.

Looking for feedback on Spike Solo. What size to buy and general experience.

I'm using it as I post. It's so easy and the basket is not tearable or able to come off the pot. The solo has also been totally easy and spot on. I've checked the temp of the mash and over an hour it's been pretty consistently 2⁰F lower than what the probe reads. So, set it 2 degrees higher than...

    Spike Flex Mini Fridge

I saw the lid and I like it. I'm not.gonna buy one for this flex as I just don't need it, but I will use it on a CF5 whenever I buy one.

Looking for feedback on Spike Solo. What size to buy and general experience.

I just put 9 gallons of water in my 15 gallon solo+ kettle and inserted the basket. (Prepping for a brew tomorrow) It LOOKS like there's not enough water for 15lbs of grain (for 6 gallons into the fermenter) I added my salts and a crushed campden and closed it up. I'm gonna find out tomorrow I...

    Upping Your Game

I done everything I've wanted so far with the exception of building from RO water. Just ordered an RO filter setup today! I'm trying to remove all variables I possibly can.

    What's in your fermenter(s)?

I've got NOTHING in my fermenter! (Which is weird because I usually keg a beer during a brew day and then fill it with a new beer the same day I've emptied it) It's just sitting down there all lonely and hungry. Brewing a red IPA tomorrow. No idea why, but I found myself craving one today.

FINALLY ordered an RO setup! What should I know?

I ordered a buckeye hydro due to many good recommendations on here. 75gpd. I also sprung for the asov kit, manual flush, and dual tds inline meter. What should I know about using this? I've been modifying my tap water based off a ward labs report for the last couple years. What are some good...

    Today I screwed up by...

Don't bother with induction OR a brewstand. (Imo anyways)

    Today I screwed up by...

Sounds like the problem is brewing using gas. Come to the electric side!

Spike Flex+ pressurized fermentation with SS Brewtech Sspundiung valve?

I've specifically bread people suggesting to not use ball lock spunding valves as they're the easiest to clog. I use a tc blichmann spunding valve and it works fine, but everyone seems to recommend these SS valves and I don't know why for the life of me. I've just sold off any SS stuff I have...

Long shot... anyone have a Spike Nano setup?

I'd love to know what you're wanting to use it for. For even a small brewpub I feel like 1bbl isn't enough. When I look at small commercial setups I personally feel like the blichmann 3.5bbl electric setup is a good value and the easiest to operate (as it's essentially an overgrown homebrew...

What are you using under your kettle for heat protection?
