Hey guys, I plan on doing Ed Worts Kolsch for my first all grain. In his recipe he calls for 7 lbs of two row pils malt, and, 2.5 lbs of wheat malt. Is the wheat malt white or red? Also, AHS list pils malt, is this the same as two row pils malt? Any help would be great!

Hey guys, I just purchased a new wort chiller, and it says to boil it in psw to remove any oils. Does anyone know what this is or of any other product that would work to do an initial cleaning?

I think St. Arnolds brews most of BJ's Brewhouse beers for them. There used to be Two Rows; they were really generic anyways. I always just do the Saucer, hard to beat an eighty four tap wall with a rotator board.

AZ, there is not a smoker out there you could buy for $200 that would out perform one of these drums. I had a smoker I paid $1200 for and after I built my drum, I rarely used it. I think Data is putting together a great deal for someone interested in one of these! Not having to go and gather...

Bad Byron's is awesome! a little salty for beef, but, i bet the brown sugar equalizes it well.

Data, after building a few of these, I have found it most cost effective purchasing the full 4x8 sheet of expanded metal and cutting to desired size. I also have a welder and used it on some baskets, but, found that a simple coat hanger wire actually works better to tie it all together.
