Yeah, that required a bit of work. Started with a list of Baja airports on Wiki-pedia, and from there I just did a Google search starting with the private airstrips. I since looked on Google maps and it does have "Punta Pescadero" painted on the pavement!

Punta Pescadero? This looks like the same place, and it may even say Punta Pescadero on the pavement under the plane in your photo.

Not too far from home, huh tele? That's the Painted Wall in the Black Canyon, Gunnison National Park. I Googled "dark rock canyon" and found it. EDIT: D'OHHHH!!! A minute too late!

I picked Gunnison because somebody I knew about 40 years ago came from there and I thought it would be off the beaten trail a bit. I didn't count on a "Gunnisonion" playing!!
