I contacted them for information about this and was told: "I know they are working on the final details now and hope to roll it out as soon as they are able to, there is just no hard date as to when at this point. We are very aware of that need for our Z customers, and we are reminding the...

My point is that brewing one beer a month isn't going to use much water compared to the cost and complexity of a entire kegerator for cooling salt water. Anyways, we can try and get back on topic.

No offense, but that seems really complicated. What is your reason for needing to cool so fast it so cold? A standard chiller cools to room temp in just a few minutes with tap water.

I have a Jade corney pillar and it works quite well. I would recommend it. Also, I just finally got my Z2.. just set it up and did a rinse. Looking forward to doing a first brew this weekend. Overall I'm actually pretty impressed. Sitting next to my zymatic it makes me realize that was a...

Hmm, I'm not so sure a 5G step filter makes sense. A 10G "brew kettle" with 2x set of keg input/output would in theory let you run 2 Z machine at once on the same batch. Wouldn't that be pretty easy in theory? A larger step filter would still require a larger brew kettle and I suspect would...

Thanks for posting the unpacking. Would love to hear some feedback after brew session(s). My Z2 is supposed to ship this week. It was supposed to ship 4/27 (after being 4/13, and before that 3/13 and before that 3/7) and I got this email: Hello! We did not ship all of the Zs we planned to...

How did you know you were queued to ship? Do they send separate emails with updated status? It's been a few weeks since their last update.

Any update on your Z2? And how did you get your shipping status? (I only see it in email, which says Target Ship Week: 2019-04-13). Anyone with Z1 have updated thoughts to share? Are you happy with the device (especially vs. Zymatic)?

I asked them about the rebate. Here's what they said: We are still finalizing our internal process for accepting returns and issuing rebate checks. Once we launch the program officially, we'll invite you to return your Zymatic. We'll cover shipping costs in the contiguous U.S., and we'll...

Lots of good perspectives here today. I tend to side with the "it's fine" crowd, when I got over the surprise, especially because I plan to mostly brew smaller, 3-4g batches but want the option of a 5g. I want to brew more variety to perfect my recipes so maybe this will just push me to doing...

More on the power: Are you just saying cooling is an attractive feature of the Brewie? With a copper coil cooling system I can cook a Zymatic keg down in just a few minutes, so I'm not sure that's a make or break decision. I'd say the cooling, water integration and true 5 gallon capacity...

Yes, interesting and glad they finally said something. This implies you can totally separate them? It's less clear if there is the spectrum of options is purely physical (stack, unstack) or if they work in any way together to brew a bigger batch.

If anyone else was worried about the Z2 and considering if they need to parallel machines, I did contact them about a switch to the Z1. Here's what I was told: "If you wish to switch to a Z1, just let me know. The total price will drop by $500 + $100 for shipping, for a total refund of $600...

I don't think there is any issue with cleaning the picoo or it being plastic, other than that it's not automated. The temperatures should be fine to santatize.

Sort of makes me wonder why I want a Z2 if it needs to be two separate units and has higher risk and it adds the complexity of 220V. Most batches on a Zymatic and brew 3-5 gallons (3 gallons @ 1.090 if I remember correctly?).

Wow, I am very worried hearing "very good proof of concept".

I looked very closely at Brewie+ during black Friday sale but having spent an hour reading the forums here was too worried about the mixed feedback. I do agree in theory the water inlet and clean mode vs kegs are attractive. I really wanted full automation, so I might be stuck deciding between...
