Well last year I was having such a good time chatting with Brewer John from Bob's brewery that I showed up late and missed the main portion anyways, so I'm not all that attached to it.

I wish everyone told me about the supper boycott prior to my purchasing of the full conference ticket (including banquet). I'd rather go hang with Yooper & Bobby_M.

I second dfc. The water here sux for brewing. Go with RO or Spring from the store.

Try Handle Bar pub in the Apache Junction area. Don't know GC area very well.

Not sure about Gold Canyon area specifically, but water in Chandler and much of the Phoenix area is totally unsuitable for brewing. Most of the better homebrewers here start with 100% RO and build their water to their liking. If you do end up using tap water be sure to filter out the...
