New brew stand: Long project in the making!

Of course. I was thinking about fermenters. They do have a false bottom in them, however the holes are too large to be an effective filter for anything for our purposes. They are held on by two bolts. I may fashion a stand separate from the frame. They definitely need a few cip cycles though...

New brew stand: Long project in the making!

That's only one of the kegs that will be used. This is a repurposed mixer used in the soft drink industry. It will be all electric and rims. Thus the saga begins! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Hop Troubles!

It looks like it could use more nitrogen overall. However, some of those bad looking leaves you need to remove. Not sure what's going on there. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Slowed Growth

The plant has probably depleted the nitrogen in the soil, which would explain the sluggish growth. If you are wanting to stay organic, you could try blood meal. That may take a while to see results. If you don't care about that, put some fertilizer on it, heavy on the nitrogen, since you have...

    Slowed Growth

How much water are you giving it, and have you fed it at all? Just putting compost and potting soil is not enough nutrient for these beasts.

I really doubt that margin of error will make a difference in our volumes. Possibly if we were dealing with hectoliters. I know I'm not worried about that much error in my beer. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Hop bursting VS. Continuous hopping

Exactly, you said it. You won't get much aroma. The point of hop bursting is to get intense flavor and aroma. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Hop bursting VS. Continuous hopping

All of my hop burst ales are additions at 20 minutes and less. 20,10, 5, 0. Or some variation of that to get the calculated ibus correct. Even with this technique, the perceived bitterness is lower. This is something I will negate with the overall increase of hops. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Hop bursting VS. Continuous hopping

I have found my hop burst ales are less bitter than calculated. On paper the ale should be balanced, but in practice it is definitely tilted towards the sweet side. So in the future I will increase my ibus by 10-20% to compensate. If I did a bittering charge then, IMO, it loses the whole point...
