    Adding Fruit to my beer

+1 Pour it right in and let it ferment. I do it with my raspberry wheat that I brew a couple times a year. Lots of fermentables in the fruit so expect it to take off and go gain. Let it drop clear, witch may take a while, before bottling.

    Sunday Morning

Sunday morning is here once again. I've slept so late I nearly missed it. I spent most of last night out in the wind and cold trying to coax the willey coyote out of his hiding spot and into the scope of my rifle. We saw several but to no avail. It was a very enjoyable night despite the lack...

Thanks, this is the kind of feedback I was hoping for.

    Imperial Cream Ale

So glad you set me straight on this. How on earth could I have thought that this might make an interesting cold weather brew. Who would ever imagine that bigger beers tend to be a bit more enjoyable to me, and many others, this time of year. What with the wind chill being in the mid negative...

    Imperial Cream Ale

Has anyone tried this? I hate to drag up an old thread but am very intrigued by this, but would love some constructive criticism from some one who has tried it. Seems to me like it might be a bit boozy.

The craft beer bubble is busting.

I'm just afraid that one of these new breweries will start serving a Bock in a frosted goat scrotum. :goat: I prefer no stems but they don't offend me either. No goat scrotum though please.

    Beer Gods

Witch one makes the room stop spinning after a long night of over indulgence? That is the one I want. I've prayed for that several times, obviously to the wrong deity.

I'm all for a pint glass, until they start to offer quarts.

    Post to Beginners, READ!

Not that long ago I was a Noob asking all the stupid questions and several wonderful members here patiently gave me the answers that I needed to make a drinkable beer. Some of those answers did include read a book, and I did indeed read some of them. Through it all, I continued to brew and...

The craft beer bubble is busting.

Here in Western NY craft breweries are still popping up all over the place. The one's that put out a quality product and provide a quality service will not only survive, but thrive. I am the perfect example of patron for the sustained prosperity of these places. I am as cheap as they come. I...

    Sunday Morning

It's hard to believe that it's Sunday morning all ready. It's an almost tropical 37*F here in Steuben Co, New York. How odd it is that on Friday I woke to -10*F and wind chill factor cold enough to close schools all over the region. Weatherman claims that mid to upper 50's may be possible...

Tool Kit for 2006 Dodge Magnum

That's great to hear. I'm not a big Dodge fan but I have always loved the Magnum. I'm sure it will make you a great car and that Hemi has proven itself as a rock solid performer. Enjoy!

    Noob question

Once bottled, your beer can be stored at room temp.. Bottle conditioning will take a couple of weeks to fully carbonate the beer. It can then be chilled and enjoyed any time after that. Some beers benefit from longer storage in bottle but I find most of my beers are better fresh.

    Sunday Morning

Good Sunday morning everyone. It is 24*F and the snow just started to fall here in south western New York state. A fresh dusting is covering the old crusty snow that fell during last weekend's double brew session. Both beers are still actively fermenting on day#9, the lager chugging away...

    What's up with homebrewers?

I don't run into many home brewers at all. The very few that I have run into have been pretty good even if their beer wasn't. Now, if you really want to meet some upity types, buy an MG and talk to other MG owners. Not your usual gear heads, until you get to know them.

    Brewing happiness is...

While the whole process of turning water, grain, hops and yeast into the necter of the gods is truly one of the coolest things I have ever done, and I have done some really cool things, nothing compares to hearing my 4 year old grandson giggle. I thank god every day for that blessing.
