My idea for an Imperial IPA

I'm not sure which hop you're referring, the cascade or the Willamette (or both). Should I use more? I'm trying to build a recipe using the three verities of hops I planted this spring. I would use extra light, but my lhbs of choice doesn't offer extra light dme or lme. IDK why. I can email...

    AHS Promo Millennium Falconer critique

I would be interested in the recipe you used, or would use for your next batch. I'm planning on making a Darth Vader IPA(imperial ipa by the time I'm done with it) and I need something to help "bring balance to the force."

    Bottling time!

1 gallon of piny pale ale, 5 gallons of hybrid (weed, feed, and mow) and 5 gallons of India Brown Ale(just tasted... I mean tested it, it's ready for bottling if it makes it that far)

My idea for an Imperial IPA

Hey, here's a recipe I modified for an Imperial IPA. all I really did was change the types of hops used, to the three verities of hops I planned this spring. I'm going to try a batch with pellet hops to get an idea of how it's going to taste with my own. Any rights or advise? This is my first...

    Bottling time!

Getting ready to bottle. Cleaned 126 bottles today. Not as fun as it sounds, but I got them cleaned for bottling day this week. 11 gallons of home brew, and hopefully starting another 5 gallon batch. I think I have a problem.

    I agree with you Billy!

    Who's the new guy?

Sounds pretty extreme just because she doesn't want to try my beer... I'll consider it though... ;-)

    Growing hops horizontally

I think I've seen that one, or something similar. I guess what I'm wondering is why are so many people going to such "step" lengths to go up, when it may be easier (at least easier harvest) to go horizontal. I know sqft. Of space can be a deciding factor. Maybe I'm blessed with a very seldom...

    Growing hops horizontally

This is my first year growing hops. I've been doing a lot of research, and I see that traditionally hops are grown vertically. I would rather grow them horizontally, about 5 feet off the ground. I am just wondering if anyone has experience with growing hops horizontally, suggestions, what to...

    Who's the new guy?

She refuses to try anything I brew. I've given up on forcing her to try. I'll brew for myself and friends.

    Who's the new guy?

I've tried. She sticks to her wine coolers. Oh well, her loss. She doesn't harp at me too bad about it. Just gets irritated that I hog the kitchen all day. Lol

    Who's the new guy?

I tell her it's "cheaper"... Maybe for some of the ingredients... But so far, not so much. Every batch is an opportunity for a new piece of equipment

    Who's the new guy?

She doesn't like beer... All the more reason to brew cheaper

    Who's the new guy?

One step at a time. I don't even have a beer fridge yet :-/ my wife isn't impressed at the $60 I spent for my hop garden

    Who's the new guy?

    Oh I didn't tell you? I'm right off 441 ;-)

    Who's the new guy?

Well, I'll have 11 gallons ready in about 3 weeks. Party at my place!

    Who's the new guy?

Hey everyone. I just joined the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I started brewing a couple years ago, thanks to a Christmas gift, and have been getting more involved in brewing since my first batch. Recently I've been expanding my operation, now having 3 brews currently in...
