That's not a bad idea. I just have a hard time thinking it's really an allergy. Do allergies just come up out of nowhere? I've drank IPAs for years and never had this tightness of chest thing before... It also isn't nearly as bad as my lungs get after riding my bike on a cold day or something...

I just create derivatives of what the beer actually is. For example, my Imperial Blonde I named "Queen Roxy" Imperial - Queen Blonde - Roxy "Nickname for my blonde wife." I'm a designer so I really get into the branding and label making. Almost as fun for me as drinking the beer.... Almost.

I'm afraid my worst fear is coming to life. I might be developing a hop allergy. I've noticed recently (within the last month) that when I drink hoppy beers at night I have a hard time breathing in bed. Not like "I'm going to die" breathing, but similar to what I experience during hay fever...

I bought it for the Old Fezziwigg. Really enjoyed the Chocolate Bock. It is def. lacking in body, but the chocolate comes through so strong I drank it as a dessert beer. I'm wanting to use it for a beer float, thinking it would be great with some vanilla ice cream...

I just used Lalvin EC-118 based on the recommendation of my LHBS. I did not rehydrate it as instructed on the package however. I was just following along with the apfelwein instructions and added it in straight out of the package... You think that will cause any problems?
