    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Love my broil king keg. As stated, after a little use, I have determined that too much air/smoke is doing it's own thing In the way of blow by at the lid to base mating surface area. Hopefully no more!!! Put a high temp gasket on bottom, then ran some lavalok high temp sealing gasket around the...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

Also, I forget this, as I haven't had 1st year plants in a while, it is recommended to forgo the nitrogen supplement. Wait for them to get to 3 feet or more tall, then give them a small dose of maybe a 10N rated fertilizer, instead of giving them the 25+N they will be looking for in their later...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

That is a very amiable product. I searched for a poundage rating and did not see it, but for 1st year plants, that should hold up just fine. 60 to 75 pounds is good for 1st year. 75 to 85 pounds is good for 2 and 3 year olds. Depending on varietal, 75 to 100 pounds for 4+ year olds. Now this is...

Cable is used for supporting the coir and the plants, not for the actual plant to grow up on. Picture is example of a "v" trellis.

I can send you some coir...lol....it's not heavy! I'll see if I can post a link to where I get a lot of my supplies also. https://www.schmidthops.com/home

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

Typical weight of 1 plant is going to be approximately 30 pounds. That is weight of plant, not including wet weight or wind shear. That can put your weight into the 70 or 80 pounds range. No need for caribiners, they may not make it much easier.

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

No problem! When I first started, it was a big guess, and I did a boat load of searching, researching, and touring!! Still had a lot to learn, as quite a bit of info wasn't exactly on the up and up! If I can make it easier for just 1 person, I'll be happy!! In my travels, I have not seen anyone...

All those strings going to the ground, are tied off to the top line, same thing your railing will be, are coconut coir. A twine that is composed of coconut husks. It is renown for it's coarseness, and hop bines readily cling to them. In the picture attached, that top line is 18 feet from the...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

Your first year growth, I hope is vigorous! You might get to 12 feet maybe 14. Maybe get 2 foot laterals. Should be no reason you couldn't get them all there. With 40" spacing between all plants, that is 160 inches. Your lateral will droop with weight of cones. You need some 20 foot lengths of...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

Very nice!! Did you get them in the planters ok? Watered afterwards? Now they will be shocked from all the activity, so it would be good to give them some settle time, with only partial sunlight for a day or 2, before "fully" putting them out in the elements. I did mean the larger red dixies...I...

☕ Coffee ☕: Ingredients, Roasting, Grinding, Brewing, and Tasting

So, for the second morning in a row, I went with the Papau New Guinea beans that has the pulpy orange juice flavor as my espresso. I am thinking that I enjoy this coffee more as an espresso, as I do with a "normal" brewed cup. The orange is still very prominent, but for some reason seems to be...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I was very curious as to what the overall taste was going to be. Thanks. I guess it could have been a whole lot stronger if you did decide to put fresh chips in.

Not bad looking beans there. What is your roasting method BH? I see varying colors which is expected with a blended bean mix, didn't see scorching or tipping. You are doing pretty good for just a couple months in...what is your take on the world of home roasted? I couldn't believe the world's of...

    Nitrogen Levels / Seaweed

That is a tough question for me to answer...lol....I only ever tried growing strawberries in a grow bag.....I ended up not having any strawberries, so ended my expenditures with grow bags! I have learned from that though, as those bags were black, and basically cooked the root system. I know...

I am still holding 15 pounds of that coffee. Originally ordered 40. The mrs. Claimed it to be mostly hers...lol...it is a very good cup!

They are astonishing Code. They will more than equal what you see. Get some red dixie cups, you can use them as a makeshift planter until you get your bags. You'll want to separate them if they are together in tray like planters, they are challenging to untangle if they start intertwining. You...
