I would rather use the 3/8" and the clamps I have won't fit over the stretched tubing. Boiling water is less likely to burn or char tubing.

Still looking. I'll sell my four 1/2" straight Quick Connect fittings for $40 shipped to help pay for 3/8" ones.

What is the size of the chamber for the bags? Rather adapt it for some other easier to fill/reuse vessel than the bags.
