    10 single hop mini batches, need advice!

    If you're goal is to evaluate the hop/yeast combos, 11.25# of LME seems like a lot. I might aim for a lower OG. You'll probably be around the 1.080 mark on the OG. Which might take awhile to condition and mellow out the alcohol kick.

    I'm curious about Durian. Kobe beef is good, but expensive, and I'm not sure it's worth the expense. But, i think i can make most steaks taste good.

    Congrats on the house! as far as equipment, go bigger than you think you'll need. I have a 7.5gal pot, but now wish I had gone bigger. I'm not able to make big beers unless I do a double mash or two mash tuns.

    FNG Stout HELP!!!!!!!!!

    If you want a clear beer, you probably shouldn't have brewed a stout! :) There is a lot of debate about secondary fermentation not being needed. I don't usually put any of my beers in secondary unless they have a high ABV to give it more conditioning time, and then let them bottle condition...
