    Belgian Golden Ale

I have been searching the net for a good golden ale or tripel recipe and seem to only find all grain recipes. Does anyone have an extract recipe of either kind? Or would be able to help convert an all grain recipe? Thanks in advance!:ban:

    Yeast before water?

When topping off my brew today I put the yeast in first before I topped off the fermenter to 5 gallons. By doing this did I really mess up my brew? Or did I just make it so the fermentation will take longer to start? I just wasn't thinking straight and I put the yeast in first and then topped...

    Secondary Fermentation temp?

I just racked by first brew into the glass carboy a couple days ago and was wondering if there is a certain temp I should have it at? Due to space constraints I have to put my secondary in a cooler closet ~60 F than the primary ~75F. Should I try to put the secondary carboy back in the...

    Hydrometer reading

Yesterday, I checked my first brew and it's almost at the recommended FG. Is there a rule of thumb about checking with a hydrometer and exposing your beer to oxygen before you secondary or bottle it? thanks:tank:

Is it too early to know if my first batch is bad

Yeah, it being my first brew I was not sure whether I should get it out or not. Now I am worried about the fermentation because I did not use a starter for my liquid yeast. Anybody have any advice on this? Should I add a bit more yeast in a couple of days if no fermentation has not taken...

Is it too early to know if my first batch is bad

:D It would make me fell alot better if there was some sort of CO2 action in the airlock. But, I have a strange feeling that my first brew will go good. It's a Belgian Dubbel and I hope it comes out good. It my favorite type of beer. :fro:

I have alot of time so this beer will have all the time it needs! Being my first brew I just was not sure if I totally messed it up. I will be sure to check back when it starts bubbling in the air lock:rockin:
