Hi fellow brewers. So by now I have brewed 3 batches of beer from extract only. My plan was to find an extract that I like and then modify it to suit my taste. I like a comercial style beer, that is not very hoppy. I have brewed a pale ale, what's called an Australian lager (not an actual lager)...

I am definitely taking everyone's advice into account, that is why I asked in the first place. Thanks

    More on fermenting

Did you not read properly?? I just answered a question on why I initially wanted to go to secondary.

    More on fermenting

I'm only thinking of going to secondary to get off the yeast. So then I can leave the beer for prolonged period of time in secondary to get a clearer beer and not get a off taste in the beer.

    More on fermenting

Okay, so there is different opinions on whether to transfer to secondary or not. So one reason I am transferring to the secondary is because I have read that the beer can get a yeasty taste if left on the yeast cake too long. My questions are this: 1 - How long is too long on the yeast cake...

    Fermenting question

So I have been brewing a Mangrove Jack Australian Golden Lager which is a liquid extract kit. The bubbling through the air lock in primary fermentation stopped after about 4 days. After two weeks in primary fermentation and no more bubbling, I transferred the brew into my secondary fermenter...

    Residue on inside of bottle

I thought that I did take care with sanitation, bacause I read that it is really important. It doesn't taste great. I thought the taste might get better with time.

    Residue on inside of bottle

Hi there all. So I have bottled my first batch of IPA 2 weeks ago. It was just a kit set, so I didn't expect too much. The carbonation is really good, too good actually. So much so that it is too difficult to drink. The taste is not too great either. But something I have noticed it that there is...
