I get all the above mentioned ingredients (except for the alcohol) from my LHBS. It's worth making, this liquer is delicious on its own - or try mixed with Red Bull.
Love Jagermeister but hate the cost? I have found a recipe to make a liquer that tastes very similar to the real thing.
Ingredients: 1L neutral spirit 40%ABV, Still Spirits Herbal Liquer essence and Still Spirits Liquer base A. Mix together and age it for a week. Serve ice cold, straight from...
Prevention is better than cure. You have to ask yourself "Why am I getting hungover?" My extra special brews don't give me any hangovers, provided I drink enough water. It all depends what kind of alcohol you drink.
You might as well use pre hopped extract as they tend to be a lot cheaper than un hopped extract. Then dry hop for flavour. No need to boil. That's what I do and my beers come out far better than about 90% of commercial brews.
No, I've never tried it. I like Schofferhofer hefeweizen, but I'm not too fussy about trying to make a clone. Just something with a nice wheaty flavour.
In NZ we get Coopers (I've never seen a Coopers wheat), Muntons, Brewcraft, Lion and Black Rock. I've heard a lot of wheat kits don't have that 'wheaty' taste that they should have. Is that more to do with the yeast?
You don't even need to add sugar. The apple juice I got from a supermarket had an OG of 1.048. Unless you want a really strong brew, skip the sugar. Otherwise, use wine yeast.
