    Cheap Jagermeister "clone"

I get all the above mentioned ingredients (except for the alcohol) from my LHBS. It's worth making, this liquer is delicious on its own - or try mixed with Red Bull.

    Cheap Jagermeister "clone"

Yeah, if that's what you want to call it.

    Cheap Jagermeister "clone"

Love Jagermeister but hate the cost? I have found a recipe to make a liquer that tastes very similar to the real thing. Ingredients: 1L neutral spirit 40%ABV, Still Spirits Herbal Liquer essence and Still Spirits Liquer base A. Mix together and age it for a week. Serve ice cold, straight from...

    Essencia Super Clear

Has anyone here added this product to their beer? And if so, did it add any flavours to the brew?

Pet Peeve, 5 vs 6 gallon question from a Canadian

**** the imperial measurement system. It's far too confusing.

    Insects in Fermenter

It just adds to the flavour.

    Best Hangover Cures?

Prevention is better than cure. You have to ask yourself "Why am I getting hungover?" My extra special brews don't give me any hangovers, provided I drink enough water. It all depends what kind of alcohol you drink.

To dry hop or not to dry hop?

I've got a wheat beer fermenting at the moment. 1.7kg can of Black Rock Whispering Wheat, and 1.5kg of wheat DME. Should I dry hop it?

    Munton's IPA extract tasting

You might as well use pre hopped extract as they tend to be a lot cheaper than un hopped extract. Then dry hop for flavour. No need to boil. That's what I do and my beers come out far better than about 90% of commercial brews.

    New to Extract

Add a few Coopers kits together, don't even bother doing a boil. Dry hop for flavour.

Black Rock Whispering wheat can kit

I was just about to post the same thing! I got home with my kit, looked on the ingredients and I was shocked to see no wheat in the ingredients list!

what variety to dry hop with???

I quite like the NZ Hallertau, lots of flavour in it.

    Should I pitch more yeast?

Don't mix different types of yeast together. I hope you didn't pitch the yeast into boiling wort.

how to get the most yeast out of beer?

Use gelatin in conjunction with a cold crash for at least 2 days before bottling/kegging.
  15. S

    Coopers kits

Don't bother with DME. Add a few Coopers kits together instead.

    Wheat beer

No, I've never tried it. I like Schofferhofer hefeweizen, but I'm not too fussy about trying to make a clone. Just something with a nice wheaty flavour.

    Wheat beer

In NZ we get Coopers (I've never seen a Coopers wheat), Muntons, Brewcraft, Lion and Black Rock. I've heard a lot of wheat kits don't have that 'wheaty' taste that they should have. Is that more to do with the yeast?

Add more cider to bring down SG?

Don't dilute it. Use wine yeast.

    Supermarket apple juice cider?

You don't even need to add sugar. The apple juice I got from a supermarket had an OG of 1.048. Unless you want a really strong brew, skip the sugar. Otherwise, use wine yeast.
