    Brewzilla 35L or 65L

Congrats on your all grain brew! Yes the clean up on 3 vessels would be a lot! I hear you on the hop sludge! I used to bag them but when I got my new ekettle, controller, and pump last October, I also got a hop spider. Man what a difference. When I finish the boil I hang the hop spider from...

    Brewzilla 35L or 65L

If you're 5 gal batches IMO you'd be better off with the 3500 w 17.5 gal brewzilla. The 9.25 gal is only 2400 w and I'd think it would take quite a while to reach a boil that might be far less than vigorous once achieved. Plus, on a full 5 gal batch I think you would be pressing your limits on...

Show us your electric brewing rig

I wasn't sure at first where I'd position the pump, and so I just cut my 8 ft section of hose in half. I could trim the pump inflow side a bit but I need the outflow that length to pump into the fermenter. I've gotten used to having the longer hose runs now.

NEW Spike Brewing BIAB System announced at NHC 2019

I agree @Jag75 , on the simple set up attraction of all grain BIAB! Although it took me awhile to graduate from kitchen stovetop extract to induction BIAB, and several kettles, to finally settle on a system. I researched SsBrewtech and Spike pretty heavily and had pretty much ignored Blichmann...

NEW Spike Brewing BIAB System announced at NHC 2019

Lol, +1 on your reply @Hwk-I-St8 ! I do 4.5 gal batches and can't quite get through my Pale Ales before the hops start to seriously fade. I like the variety that 3-4 gal batch brewing provides me and its quick turn around.

    Auber Cube 2E vs BrewCommander?

I've only used that feature a couple times for step mashing a Wit. Worked fine for me. I believe the ramp default is 2 degrees a minute, so I just adjust that for my batch size. No biggie to me. My smaller batches ramp at 4 degrees/min and larger at 3. Works for me and I like the simplicity of...

    Auber Cube 2E vs BrewCommander?

That cube sounds like it would work well for your system plans! I have the BC which works well with my single vessel eBIAB. 10gal Blichmann 240v kettle w/whirlpool, BC, and Riptide pump.

Help me take my BIAB system up to the next level

It's not an inexpensive hobby. I started out on stovetop then went to an induction burner, a little larger kettle, and ratcheting pulley for BIAB in the garage. Last year I went to a Blichmann boil coil ekettle, Brew Commander, and Riptide pump. Not inexpensive but really makes my brew days...

In the market for a new fermenter

I have both the mini brew bucket and the 7 gal. I use a bottling wand with both and it works great. I just slide a small piece of approx 1.5 in silicone tubing over the end of the bottling wand and the spigot on the brew bucket and bottle away. The cone and racking arm on these two fermenter...

Show us your electric brewing rig

Mine's not too fancy, but it works well and makes for a stress free brew day now that I've moved from an induction burner to an electric kettle and programable controller. Ebiab- 10gal 240v Blichmann kettle w/boil coil and whirlpool. 240v Brew Commander, and Riptide pump.

BrewCommander - Impressive offering from John

My BC probe is 4" long on the straight run before the 90 degree bend on the wire side. Shouldn't have any problem reaching into a kettle.

    Does anyone recirculate after mash

I do eBIAB and have a whirlpool port on my kettle just above the boil coil. I whirlpool during the mash to keep the grain bed stirred up, and then after the boil I whirlpool to add aroma hop additions and also to let the trub cone up in the center. I don't use a false bottom and the trub cone...

2V SS Brewtech Brewing System Review Page

+1 for the Ss brewmat. I do 1v eBIAB, so the cost was well worth it.

Will this cheap 3500 watt induction burner work?

I bought mine off of Amazon and at the time was able to get a 2 year replacement warranty on it. Warranty was like 9-10 $ and I think I paid about $160 for the IC3500.

    Ferm temp advice

To me 67 is quite high. I favor 63-64 F as I get cleaner fermentation. 75F would be way out of my comfort zone.

    44q Bayou Classic electric element?

I use a boil coil in my 10 gal Blichmann kettle and it works great for that size. It's a 3750w ULWD element and you can use it with a bag touching the coil without scorching, so no basket required.

False bottom, dead space volume question

Before I got a probe with a rounded end, I would use a short piece of 1/4 inch heat resistant tubing to slide over my pointed temp probe. Fit perfectly and would keep the bag from snagging and temp readings were accurate.

New BIAB setup. Ss brewtech or Spike? Utah Diesel or Arbor Fab?

I use a 10gal eBIAB kettle but usually I go for 5-6%ABV and I find it perfect size for full volume BIAB.

    BIAB induction indoors: avantco burner

My model the IC3500 has a metal reinforced outer edge. I've done 5 gal batches in a 7.5 gal Anvil kettle on it with no issues at all.
